Some Democrats Say *One* Allegation Of Sexual Misconduct Shouldn't Disqualify Biden. Well, We Have Another Accuser

There were too many photos of Joe Biden acting creepily for him to have just one accuser. These things come in waves, usually in threes; so don’t be shocked if another woman comes forward alleging that the former vice president touched them in an inappropriate manner. Lucy Flores was a 2014 candidate for Nevada lieutenant governor’s office. Biden paid her campaign a visit and that’s when he smelled her hair, touched her shoulders, and kissed on the back of her head.

“He made me feel uneasy, gross, and confused,” she wrote in her op-ed for The New Yorker last Friday. Sens. Bernie Sanders and Dick Durbin have both said one allegation shouldn't disqualify him. Biden has denied he intentionally acted inappropriately with Flores, but if he did, he would “listen respectfully.” This isn’t going to scare him away from declaring his presidential ambitions, which is coming soon. Yet, we now have another accuser who alleges the vice president got a bit handsy at a 2009 fundraiser in Connecticut (via The Hill) [emphasis mine]:

A Connecticut woman said Monday that Joe Biden touched her inappropriately and rubbed noses with her while at a 2009 political fundraiser in Greenwich, the second such allegation against the former vice president in the past week.

"It wasn’t sexual, but he did grab me by the head," Amy Lappos told The Hartford Courant on Monday.

He put his hand around my neck and pulled me in to rub noses with me. When he was pulling me in, I thought he was going to kiss me on the mouth."

Lappos, who was a congressional aide to Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) at the time, first posted about the alleged incident under a pseudonym in a Facebook group called Connecticut Women in Politics on Sunday.

She said that she never filed a complaint about the interaction but believes Biden crossed a line.

"I never filed a complaint, to be honest, because he was the vice president. I was a nobody,"Lappos told the Courant.

Everyone has drama—and it looks like the “Me Too” sisterhood is about to zero in on Biden. Biden was handsy with women, Liz Warren lied about being a Native American, Cory Booker admitted to groping a high school friend without her consent, Kamala Harris was not a “progressive prosecutor,” and Kristen Gillibrand has no issues, other than nobody knowing who the hell she is. Oh, and I forgot about Bernie Sanders. His 2016 campaign was apparently a den of sexual harassment and sexism. The top of the 2020 field looks rather…shaky.
