Brace Yourselves for What the Left Has Planned This Saturday All Across America

As violent anti-ICE riots continue to rock Los Angeles, protesters will take to the streets in thousands of communities across the nation on June 14 in what is expected to be the largest single-day demonstration against the Trump administration in his second term.

The date was chosen to counter the military parade planned for the Army’s 250th anniversary being held in Washington, D.C., which will feature aircraft, Army vehicles, soldiers, and more.

“They’ve defied our courts, deported Americans, disappeared people off the streets, attacked our civil rights, and slashed our services,” reads the website for the No Kings protest. “The corruption has gone too. far. No thrones. No crowns. No kings.”

While the demonstrations are a direct response to the military parade, event organizers are not hosting a protest in the nation’s capital.

On June 14—Flag Day—Donald Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday. A spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isn’t staged in Washington. It rises up everywhere else.

Instead of allowing this birthday parade to be the center of gravity, we will make action everywhere else the story of America that day: people coming together in communities across the country to reject strongman politics and corruption.

For that reason, NO KINGS is not hosting an event in Washington, D.C. We will instead have a major flagship march and rally in Philadelphia to draw a clear contrast between our people-powered movement and the costly, wasteful, and un-American birthday parade in Washington.

The event lists dozens of partners, including the ACLU, Education Healthcare Public Services, Americans for Tax Fairness, Center for Science in the Public Interest, Greenpeace, the Human Rights Campaign, and many more.
