Bloomberg: Trump Will Win Reelection

Given the deep divisions within the Democratic Party, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg believes President Trump will win reelection in 2020.

“The incumbent always has an advantage,” Bloomberg told CNN.

“And the Democratic Party is going to be torn apart by the left and the centralists,” he added. “Now, the Republican Party is also being torn apart between the centralists and the hard right, but they've rented a candidate. The candidate has rented a party, and they will probably without much fuss get behind Donald Trump, I would assume, assuming he runs for reelection.”

Bloomberg also stood by his prediction that Trump has a 55 percent chance of winning.

"I think recently you gave the chance that President Trump would be reelected 55 percent," Cooper noted, referring to a recent interview.

"Sure, because, well, the incumbent always has an advantage," Bloomberg said. "It depends what the world is like in three-and-a-half years."

After Republicans Karen Handel and Ralph Norman won Tuesday’s special elections in Georgia and South Carolina, respectively, President Trump offered Democrats some advice.

“Well, the Special Elections are over and those that want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN are 5 and O! All the Fake News, all the money spent = 0,” he tweeted after the results came in.

“Democrats would do much better as a party if they got together with Republicans on Healthcare,Tax Cuts,Security. Obstruction doesn't work!” he followed up Wednesday on Twitter.

Many pundits portrayed Tuesday’s special election in Georgia as a referendum on Trump’s presidency.
