Cotton: House Needs to 'Start Over' on Obamacare Replacement Plan

Sen. Tom Cotton issued a warning to his colleagues in the House about the GOP’s Obamacare replacement plan and urged them not to act like Democrats in their rush to pass it.

The series of tweets comes after the House Ways and Means Committee advanced the GOP’s replacement plan on a party line vote.

GOP leadership is hoping the bill can hit the House floor before the Easter recess.

Cotton is not alone in his warnings to House Republicans. A number of other Republican senators have serious concerns about the bill, which doesn’t even have a score from the Congressional Budget Office yet. GOP critics argue the plan is nothing more than Obamacare Lite, and have said it would be dead on arrival.

Sen. Rand Paul has even promised to introduce his own legislation repealing the Affordable Care Act in the near future.
