Democrat Senator Blumenthal: Hillary Clinton Must Return Money From Harvey Weinstein

It's been nearly a week since the New York Times published a story full of sexual harassment and assault accusations against mega-movie mogul and Democrat donor Harvey Weinstein.

Former Democrat Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who Weinstein served as a fundraising bundler in 2016, remained silent on the issue as women in Hollywood spoke out in droves this week. It wasn't until today that Clinton issued a statement of condemnation through a spokesperson and the topic is still absent from her Twitter feed.

From CNN

"I was shocked and appalled by the revelations about Harvey Weinstein. The behavior described by women coming forward cannot be tolerated. Their courage and the support of others is critical in helping to stop this kind of behavior." The statement made no mention of returning contributions from Weinstein.

But her silence didn't go unnoticed...by Democrats.

During an interview with CNN Monday night, Senator Richard Blumenthal called on Clinton to return all donations from Weinstein to her campaign.

Here's a chart, courtesy of the RNC, showing which Democrats have returned Weinstein's donations and those who have not.
