Protestor Demands Sen. Cassidy Apologize to Her Kids. So, Here's What He Told Them.

We have yet another example of a ticked off citizen getting in the face of another lawmaker this week over the confirmation of controversial Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. A mother confronted Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) on Capitol Hill Tuesday and demanded he "apologize" to her kids for "ruining their futures," presumably because of his "yes" vote.

Cassidy was having none of it. He decided to address the children instead of the parent.

It's not the first time Cassidy shot back at a protester.

Reporter Benny Johnson, who shared the above encounter, noted that this was another example of the new "woke" GOP. Instead of taking the criticism, more Republican leaders are fighting back. Case in point: Lindsey Graham 2.0. The Democrats' behavior during the Kavanaugh hearings have pushed Graham over the edge to the point where he has forgotten all about a filter. When a crowd booed him last month for defending Kavanaugh, he said, without missing a beat, "Oh boo yourself!" When a female protester yelled over one of his media interviews, Graham told her, "You've humiliated this guy enough and there seems to be no bottom for some of you." He then added an epic quip regarding Kavanaugh: "Why don't we dunk him in water and see if he floats?"

On the day Kavanaugh was confirmed, another protester shouted at Graham about his "white privilege" and that they will vote him out of the Senate, to which he cooly replied, "Please move to South Carolina," while fixing his tie.
