The Islamic State has taken responsibility for the bloody carnage in the Manchester Arena Monday night, where an explosion at an Ariana Grande concert killed 22 people and injured 59 others. On Tuesday morning, authorities were able to identify the suicide bomber behind the attack as 23-year-old Salman Abedi.

Investigators have been piecing together how Abedi planned his attack.
CBS News can confirm the attack was conducted by a suicide bomber, according to two U.S. law enforcement officials. The suspected bomber traveled by Tube to Victoria Station, went to the arena's ticket area and detonated the explosive device as people were leaving the concert. Ball bearings have been recovered. Investigators are tracing the bomber's movements through CCTV.
Teenagers and young children are some of Abedi's victims.
