North Korea: We'll Be Testing Missiles on a 'Weekly' Basis

North Korea, in defiance of the Trump administration's warnings, is planning on testing more missiles - even on a weekly basis. A senior official briefed the BBC's John Sudworth on their schedule.

"We'll be conducting more missile tests on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis," Vice Foreign Minister Han Song-Ryol said.

North Korea attempted to launch another missile on Sunday, in violation of UN sanctions. Yet, it was North Korea's deputy UN ambassador who pinned blame on the U.S. for turning the Korean peninsula into "the world's biggest hotspot" which could lead to an outbreak of nuclear war.

During his trip to the Korean Demilitarized Zone over the weekend, Vice President Mike Pence said the U.S.'s strategic patience toward North Korea had run out. President Trump echoed Pence's warning at the White House Easter egg roll Monday, warning North Korea had better "behave."

If the White House does follow through with its military threats, Song-Ryol said they can expect "all out war."
