Anthony Weiner Had Online Relationship With 15-year-old Girl

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) apparently carried on an online relationship with a 15-year-old girl, Daily Mail is reporting. The girl first contacted Weiner on Twitter back in January, when she noticed he allowed any Twitter user to "direct message" him. He then promptly added her on Facebook. The Daily Mail reports that Weiner would send the teen explicit chats, and expressed rape fantasies in role-playing conversations.

Weiner was well aware that the girl was underage, and said he'd like for her to dress up in a schoolgirl uniform. The girl will not be pressing charges, but is sharing her story to encourage any other underage girls to come forward.

The girl first reached out to Weiner on the evening of January 23, 2016, when she noticed his Twitter page allowed non-followers to contact him through direct private messages.
She told DailyMail.com she was interested in politics and had heard about his sexting scandals, and was curious to see what he was like.
It was clear from the messages that she was encouraging Weiner to engage with her in a sexual manner. She told DailyMail.com she didn't consider Weiner her boyfriend, but thought the relationship was a 'romantic' one.
She acknowledged during interviews that she had developed an obsession with Weiner, and sought him out on Twitter in January while trying to write a book about him. She said she continued to write the book as their relationship developed.

Weiner acknowledged that he has made "terrible decisions" with whom he engages with online.

Well, it goes without saying that this is upsetting, disturbing, and probably illegal. No sane 50-year-old human carries on a "relationship" with a high school sophomore after finding out they're not legally able to drive a car, regardless of how "persistent" or "obsessed" said 15-year-old seems. Weiner needs serious help, if not jail time.
