A construction crane near the Elan City Light apartment building in Dallas, Texas on Sunday collapsed during a thunderstorm. At the time, the area was under a severe thunderstorm watch, with the possibility of winds exceeding 70mph.
According to Dallas Fire, at least one person has died and six more are injured. The woman died when the crane collapsed and cut through a number of apartment buildings, the Associated Press reported.
Residents whose apartments were unaffected are being allowed in to get the basic necessities.
