Bill Maher has been on a tear, largely because his side has become unhinged. The comedian attacked his side of the aisle again, criticizing the Democratic Socialists of America for revealing their true colors, disapproving of Broadway actors being fired for speaking the truth about transgender issues, and putting Anthony Fauci under intense scrutiny. No, let’s be real: he put him in a pressure cooker.
On DSA, he never said their ideas should be outlawed or banned. If people want to vote for them, so be it, but don’t get huffy when he calls you a bunch of communists, because you are:
Bill Maher calls out the Democrat Socialists trying to backtrack after he roasted them for being communists during his monologue last week.

Maher says they’re not “flip flopping.”
They’re lying.
And he told them to own what they actually believe.

MAHER: “I don’t believe any of them. All the DSA people are saying, these things you quoted last week, we don’t say…”
“Yeah, you said it, you meant it, stop it!”
PALMERI: “Yeah, flip flopping though.”
MAHER: “That’s not flip flopping, that’s lying.”
“That’s just pretending. I know who you really are and that’s okay.”
“Communism is a economic system that always leads to a horribly corrupt violent political system but it is an economic system.”
“You’re allowed to vote for it. I’m not saying make it illegal or anything but own up to what it is.”
“That’s what it is. When you’re talking about ‘seizing’ the means of production, you are a communist.”
“Just own it!”
Geno Segers, who was on a Broadway production of Hadestown, was forced to apologize after his remarks were construed as anti-trans and was fired from the show. Maher added that cancel culture is not dead, and that some enclaves will not permit differing opinions. He also said that what the Indiana Fever’s Sophie Cunningham said about protecting women’s sports isn’t radical or bigoted.
“This is where, what, 80% of the country is?” said Maher.
Bill Maher looks genuinely sad after learning yet another Broadway actor got "sh*t canned" for going against trans orthodoxy.

The latest victim: Geno Segers. Read these quotes and tell me if this deserved a firing.

Is cancel culture totally dead? No, it’s been greatly diminished, though. And I can see places like Broadway being the last strongholds for this nonsense.
But the grand finale focused on Anthony Fauci. Maher’s New Rules tore into this man, reading excerpts from his diaries obtained from HHS servers that revealed an egomaniac whose reckless actions caused immense pain and chaos during the COVID pandemic. Science fiction, like the idea that natural immunity no longer exists, was fed into the airwaves, which Maher correctly pointed out sounded much like what Pfizer and Fauci’s leftist fan club would want him to say. He also said that the man was infected with "main character syndrome":
Bill Maher absolutely unloads on Anthony Fauci after reading entries from his diary to the audience.
— Overton (@overton_news) August 8, 2026
Maher couldn’t believe the level of “main character syndrome” coming from an 80-year-old Fauci writing about himself.

Bill Maher ends his show with a brutal minute-long takedown of Anthony Fauci and the liberal elites who turned him into a self-aggrandizing celebrity.

MAHER: “Have you read some of the shit in Fauci’s diary?”
“Last week I played a game here called, ‘Who said it: Fauci or Trump?’”
“Let’s play!”
“It is not hyperbole to say I am the most famous and talked about person in the country.”
“The nurses went absolutely wild to see me.”
“I am such a valued spokesperson and a good communicator.”
“One person said that Tyra Banks was sexy, but I was even more sexy than she was.”
“None of that is Trump. That’s all Fauci.”
“Writing to himself…at 80!”
“Why? So he can read it back when he’s 100 and remember what a hot piece of ass he was at 80?”
“Talk about main character syndrome!”
[…]
MAHER: “But you have to try awfully hard not to notice how much Fauci is energized by being embraced by one particular cultural tribe.”
“It was Julia Roberts who was telling Fauci he was Jesus with a petri dish. Not Randy Quaid.”
“And that side likes to think of themselves as the purely ‘Science’ people, even though keeping kids out of school that long and traumatizing two-year-olds with masks wasn’t good science.”
“Fauci supported some strange policies for such an esteemed epidemiologist.”
“Natural immunity doesn’t count now? Meaning, even if you’ve had the disease, you still had to get the shot?”
“That sounds more like what Pfizer and Fauci’s celebrity friends wanted to hear.”
“He let this shit go to his head.”
“Turns out the really dangerous ‘intimate contact’ wasn’t shaking hands, it was kissing ass!”
Amen, sir. Fauci is experiencing a thorough dismantling of his career, the complete destruction of the God complex that supported him, and everyday people — those who aren’t liberal — enjoy watching the temple fall. It’s about time. He might not face jail time, which is unfortunate, but his reputation — the regime he set up to control us and violate constitutional rights — is being torn down, mocked, and ignored. And all of this just to see Donald Trump return to the Oval Office in 2024. Liberals remain unable to learn from their mistakes; they can’t be introspective, so I’ll toss out two well-known axioms: there are no permanent victories in our system of government, a republic, and all glory is fleeting.

Man, the Left must've suffered a stroke last night.
