The attorney defending Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, the five-time deported illegal alien accused of murdering 32-year-old Kate Steinle in San Francisco earlier this year, is asking for murder charges to be dropped in the case and argues the entire incident was simply an accident.

Last month Kate's Law, which would require a maximum five year prison term for criminal illegal aliens who are caught reentering the country, was blocked by Senate Democrats.
