ICE just successfully completed one of its largest operations in history, arresting nearly 1,400 illegal aliens across the greater Washington, D.C. area in a 14-day period, according to Fox News.

Videos uploaded by Bill Melugin showed multiple aliens fleeing federal agents and resisting arrest. Melugin reported that approximately 30 percent of those detained by ICE either had prior criminal convictions or pending criminal charges.

The news of the massive bust comes just days following a DNC vote to abolish ICE, release detainees, and bring an end to the detention of illegal aliens. The policy could land itself onto the Democrat Party platform ahead of the 2028 presidential election.

The Trump administration has set record months for deportations over the summer. Data reported by Newsweek shows that the federal government has averaged 1,246 daily deportations from April through July.
