Rod Rosenstein Testifies Before the Senate Judiciary Committee

Graham: I thought Mr. Rosenstein gave a detailed explanation for what he knew and what he didn't know. He did not know the dossier had been disavowed by A Russian subsource. He wouldn't have signed the warrant if he known that.

Rosenstein says he feels no "ill will" toward McCabe.

McCabe just called Rosenstein's claims of being mislead are "completely false" and that Rosenstein was "fully briefed." McCade calls it a "sad attempt" using Rosenstein as a "willing accessory."

Chairman Graham starts his conclusion: Mr. Rosenstein, I don't believe you were part of a conspiracy against Trump, but Carter Page and Michael Flynn were abused.

Sen. Kennedy: When the FBI knocks on your door, Americans shouldn't have to wonder if they're Democrats or Republicans.

Graham to Rosenstein: "How did Horowitz find all this stuff and you didn't?"

Sen. Kennedy: The Steele dossier was "unadulterated BS."

Sen. Kennedy: It's easier to divorce your spouse then get fired at the FBI.

Strzok and Page, Sen. Kennedy notes, were senior officials at the FBI. "They were navel-deep in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation."

Hirono insists: There was enough evidence to convict Trump on obstruction of justice.

Rosenstein: "I think that's unfair."

Rosenstein repeats: Yes, I do not believe the president should have been prosecuted.
