UPDATE: Lori Loughlin has been sentenced to two months in prison, as well as two years of supervised release, 100 hours of community service and a $150,000 fine.

"Aunt Becky" was trending on Friday, but it wasn't because fans were reminiscing about "Full House." Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were sentenced, via Zoom, for their role in the 2019 college admissions scandal.
Judge Nathaniel Gorton accepted Giannulli's plea deal and sentenced him to five months in prison for his role in masquerading his daughters as rowing recruits in their application for the University of Southern California. He will also pay a $250,000 fine and serve 250 hours of community service. Neither of their daughters actually participated in the sport. The couple reportedly paid $500,000 to Rick Singer and Key Worldwide Foundation to embellish their daughters' resumes.

Giannulli pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and one count of honest services wire and mail fraud, while Loughlin confessed to just one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. She will learn her fate on Friday afternoon.
Loughlin's fellow actress Felicity Huffman was also sentenced to prison for her role in the college cheating scandal. She admitted to trying to improve her daughter's SAT scores, but served only 11 days in jail. Unlike Loughlin, who has remained defiant for months and rejected plea deals, Huffman has repeatedly expressed regret for her role in the scandal.
