Poll: Perry receives top spot

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.

(CNN) - Texas Gov. Rick Perry is at the top of the Republican presidential field in another national poll.

According to the Gallup survey released Wednesday, Perry leads the pack among Republican and Republican-leaning independents with 29 percent, followed by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney at 17 percent, Rep. Ron Paul of Texas at 13 percent and Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota at 10 percent.
