'Gang of Six' Plan Produces 'Positive Vibe'

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.
Here was the initial reaction to the "Gang of Six" plan from lawmakers coming out of Tuesday’s briefing:

Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R., N.H.): "I think the vibe in the room was very positive. My first impression is that this is a very credible plan…The senators who have worked on this on a bipartisan basis, they have done a tremendous amount of work in the last six months and that’s why I think we need to give it careful examination. From what I heard, it certainly was a credible plan. I need to look at the details, truthfully, before I can fully support it."
