The Palin numbers

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.

The full report on the Sarah PAC numbers for the six-month period won't be out until later, but a few things stand out.

The former Alaska governor's burn rate for the six months appears to have been almost 100 percent, meaning she spent almost what she raised. She doesn't appear to be refueling her coffers with fundraisers, or using the PAC to build an infrastructure.

The figure she raised, just over $1.6 million, is dwarfed by others in the field - and while Michele Bachmann won't release hers until tomorrow, it's expected to be far larger, and raised in just three weeks.
