Gov. Perry: Govt Can Only Assist Job Creation

Texas Gov. Rick Perry says while government cannot create jobs, it can facilitate job creation. The potential presidential candidate also told Fox News’ Glenn Beck Monday individual states should be empowered to determine what practices they use to attract businesses.

“Actually what a government can do is create an environment where those jobs can be created,” said Perry, who is reportedly considering a 2012 presidential run. “Government does not create any jobs — they can actually run jobs away.”
