Obama Tells Troops 'Our Job Is Not Finished'

The day after announcing his strategy to begin withdrawing from Afghanistan, President Obama visited troops at Fort Drum today, telling soldiers who have fought in the war-torn country that we have turned a corner but “our job is not finished.”

In an informal gathering Obama told members of the 10th Mountain Division that the drawdown will not be precipitous. “We’re going to do it in a steady way to make sure that the gains that all of you helped to bring about are going to be sustained,” he said.
