Hillary Clinton denies pursuit of World Bank job

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton insisted Friday that she’s not pursuing a job as head of the World Bank and hasn’t talked to anyone about it, as was reported.

“I have had no discussions with anyone, I have evidenced no interest to anyone and I am not pursuing that position,” Clinton told reporters in Zambia, Reuters reported.

On Thursday, Reuters reported that sources close to Clinton and the White House said Clinton had expressed interest in becoming president of the World Bank in 2012, when the bank’s current president’s term ends.
