Allen West: Funding Military No. 1 Priority
Funding the military must be the federal government’s No. 1 priority, because without the protection of the armed forces the United States would cease to exist, Florida Congressman Allen West says.

While politicians scramble to cut spending, West urged the government to “be looking at every single way we can increase the benefits we give” to the military.

The only cuts should be where specific areas of waste are identified in advance, he said, revealing that he has found three Defense Department programs that could easily be cut with a saving of $800 million.
