A 25-year-old man who identifies as a woman was removed from a Texas cheerleading camp after he allegedly choked a teen girl who called him a “transphobic” name.
Television station KTAB reports the transgender cheerleader, identified as Averie Chanel Medlock, was kicked out of the camp and slapped with a criminal citation by police.
The camp was held at Ranger College in Eastland County, Texas.
Medlock, a hulking individual, claimed he was the true victim after other cheerleaders, believed to be teenage biological girls, pointed out that he is a man.
“A girl on the team was being very disrespectful and told me that I am a MAN with a PENIS and and that guy should not be on the team and I stood up for myself and she called her mom and dad because she was scared because I took up for myself,” the man wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post.
What teenage girl would not be terrified if a 25-year-old man was prowling the hallways using profane language in the wee hours of the morning?
“I stood up for myself and she called her mom and dad because she was scared because I [stood] up for myself. Her father said ‘she still has testosterone and a penis and I will kill anyone who comes after my daughter,’” Medlock alleged.
Mike Jones identified himself as the father of the 17-year-old teen girl who was allegedly choked by Medlock.
“I ask you what you would have done when receiving a phone call at 1 o’clock in the morning from your daughter stating they had locked themselves in the room with other girls,” Jones wrote on Facebook.

Heavily-edited videos show Medlock making menacing statements and repeatedly referring to the victim as a “b****.”
“If anyone has a problem, come address it to my face like an adult,” Medlock said at one point, completely oblivious to the fact that he was in fact the only adult in the room. The other cheerleaders are underage children.
In another video Medlock is heard telling the girls: “why did you call me a man”, “come outside and you just man up”, “watch your back”, and “outside of cheer I don’t *** with y’all, so outside of today…don’t **** with me and I won’t **** with you.”
Quite frankly, Mr. Jones deserves a commendation for restraint – especially for a Texan.
Police handed Medlock a misdemeanor citation for assault by physical contact and was then kicked off the campus.
The college and the cheerleading camp have some explaining to do. Why was a 25-year-old man allowed to bunk with teenage girls? Does he also identify as a teenager? Did they conduct any sort of background check?
Maybe next time Ranger College should clarify what they mean when cheerleaders are asked if they have any pom-poms.
