Democrats Uncork Crazy Talk on the 'Big Beautiful Bill'

Democrats can say the wildest and craziest things and know that all those badly named "mainstream" media outlets and fact-checkers won't care in the slightest. Sen. Bernie Sanders can call the Republicans a Stalinist cult. Rep. Pramila Jayapal can call ICE a "terrorist force." It's all fair game.

Somehow I have ended up on several lists for Democrat PACs. The rhetoric in there is pretty fever-swampy. They are very upset after that "Big Beautiful Bill" extending the Trump tax breaks for most Americans passed Congress.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries sounded the alarm: "Tim, extreme House Republicans just approved the largest cut to Medicaid and food assistance in American history to fund tax breaks for their billionaire donors. The latest GOP stunt will rip healthcare away from 17 MILLION Americans, jack up our utility bills and take food out of the mouths of children, seniors and veterans. It's disgusting."

"Extreme" Republicans passed a "stunt" to take food out of the mouths of children and "rip health care away" from people. Don't bother noting that Republicans wanted to stop giving illegal immigrants government benefits and wanted to install work requirements for government programs. For example, only 28% of able-bodied adults on food stamps work.

They're trying to raise money from gullible liberals, so there's no need to put any complexity in there.

I also received this from "Speaker Emerita" Nancy Pelosi, who's implying that Jeffries is undercounting how many millions are being harmed by Republican extremists: "House Republicans just voted to CUT Medicaid and food assistance for up to 20 MILLION vulnerable Americans -- including their own constituents -- to give tax handouts to billionaire CEOs. Tim, I don't say this lightly: This bill will usher in a dark and deadly moment in our country's history."

Republicans are pushing a "deadly moment." Never mind the Defund-the-Police Democrats who've allowed violent criminals to cross the border without resistance.

Earlier, Pelosi broke out her "devout Catholic" spin. Republicans are committing grave sin: "We just watched Republicans pass a bill in the Senate to rip health care from MILLIONS of Americans -- all to fund tax breaks for billionaires like Donald Trump and Elon Musk. It's heartless. It's corrupt. It's SINFUL. And it's our job to make Republicans pay the price at the ballot box."

Pelosi and the Democrats support a "deadly moment" of ripping humans from health care. It's called abortion. Pelosi's church opposes abortion as sinful.

Sen. Cory Booker also turned to the scriptural screed, that Republicans passed an "abomination." Booker claimed, "What just happened in the Senate is not business as usual, it's an abomination. A majority of Senate Republicans passed a budget that will strip health care from millions of Americans, shower billionaires with tax cuts, and balloon our national debt by trillions."

Democrats have been ballooning the national debt for years, especially during COVID and throughout the Biden presidency. Their ranting about ballooning the debt is like bank robbers complaining about the depleted banks.

Sen. Adam Schiff is going for the full Snidely Whiplash spin on the GOP: "Tim, Today, Senate Republicans voted to kick millions off their health care. To cut funding for SNAP benefits. To take away funding for rural hospitals."

Shifty Schiff won't acknowledge the inconvenient fact that the Trump-backed bill includes a $50 billion fund to help rural hospitals.

Democrats perpetually run on the platform that Republicans want to "cut" entitlement programs that have massively increased over time and are major drivers of the national debt. Their media enablers don't really cover the overall budget numbers. They prefer to forward these panicky spins about horrid Republicans.
