Legalized Press-titution – THE LATE SHOW / CNN

  • This comedy routine could have used more rehearsal time.

As he is winding down his contractual schedule, Stephen Colbert is ramping up his political activism on “The Late Show.” Continuing the parade of leftist and media faces, his recent guest was Jake Tapper to gab about the upcoming White House Correspondents' Dinner.

In a clearly orchestrated conversation, Colbert just so happened to comment on Jake Tapper’s pocket square, which just so happened to be a cloth with the First Amendment on it, which just so happens to be what will be handed out to attendees at the Nerd Prom on Saturday.

And Jake just so happened to have another handkerchief for the host.

It was all just SO organic and natural.

Artisanally-Crafted Narratives – CNN

  • So getting the oil flowing as usual is not that big of a deal…?

At CNN primetime, host Abby Phillip looked at the matter of getting the Strait of Hormuz opened back up for oil commerce as something that is not good news. Apparently, getting oil traffic flowing once again is nothing to be happy about because all it does is return things to where they had been at the start of the conflict.

Which…is rather the whole point.

News Avoidance Syndrome – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • We just try imagining the reaction if this were a Republican fundraising outfit…

There has been a notable lack of excitable coverage of the House conducting a probe into the largest fundraising arm of the leftists, ActBlue. The main concern is the sheer amount of foreign cash this outfit took in to apply financial leverage in the political system. As of today, practically 150 people subpoenaed from the organization have chosen to plead the Fifth.

The lack of energetic coverage by the outmoded press is evident. In looking for the network coverage, one report was dug up, but the approach to the story was rather revealing.

Prose & Contradiction – JERUSALEM POST

  • He is both an oppressive leader, AND one removed from official activity…?

The press regarding President Trump has now entered the George Bush strata of armed conflict. Recall back in that day, Bush was sold to the public as the dumbest president ever – and he also managed to lie about Iraq and managed to fool Congress, the American public, our foreign allies, and over a dozen of the intelligence agencies from other countries, all to go into a war no one else supposedly wanted.

Well, we are now seeing that Trump is a dangerous leader who is guiding us into conflicts and imperialistic activities all across the globe. But also, he is so inept and dangerous that our military is supposedly cutting him out of mission control and oversight. Makes complete and total sense, yep.

Pulitzer Prize Nomination (Photojournalism) – GETTY IMAGES

  • Was this intended to make him look bad?

There has been plenty of commentary on this shot of President Trump on the tarmac, addressing the media before boarding Air Force One. In one of the Getty images, the president is standing with a boom mike rather phallically positioned.

Reactions have been split on whether this was an insulting shot or one that made him look…umm…more virile.
