We are now into week two of early voting in the Lone Star State of Texas for our 2026 midterm primary. Recently, I had a reporter from the Washington Times contact me for an interview, and he asked the question, “Can Democrats, meaning Marxist leftists, win statewide in Texas?”
Of course, the leftists are motivated and encouraged because of a State Senate District special election that they won in January by 17 percent. That specific district was over in Tarrant County (Ft. Worth) in the Southlake area. Democrats believe that President Trump's poll numbers are dropping, even as he won Texas by 15 percent in 2024.
With all this as a backdrop, I still emphatically responded that no, the Marxist leftists are not in a position to win statewide in Texas. Yes, leftists do have political control in the major urban areas of Texas, but that is not enough to give them statewide gravitas. As a matter of fact, it is in these urban population centers, as is the case across America, that we find the greatest policy failures. The reason why Marxist leftism may have specific area success, but not widespread, is that who really wants to drink their poison? And therein lies the issue for this midterm election: can constitutional conservatives, I dare not say Republicans, make the easy layup case and describe the ingredients of leftist poison?
This critical aspect of this is that it has to come from a multitude of voices and not just that of President Trump, for whom the left is aiming all its angst.
Look at the recent policy positions of the Marxist left. First, they still want to mutilate the bodies of our children. What can be a more poisonous desire, and abjectly perverse, than to “treat” children with life-altering surgeries under the deceptive guise of gender affirmation? We should all find this completely delusional, deranged, dangerous, and completely undermining science and the laws of nature. Isn't it quite telling that an Arizona white female leftist called child protective services on a Turning Point USA high school chapter meeting? Yet, leftists would dare not refer parents who take their kids to such perversions as drag queen shows to CPS? And now we have congressional Marxist leftists calling for a "transgender bill of rights?” We just saw a mentally ill person who suffered from gender dysphoria gun down several individuals at a skating rink, not to mention the recent shooting in Canada. But, we are expected to issue protective rights to individuals with a designated mental condition?
That is a poisonous elixir that Americans do not want to drink.
A Washington Times reporter asked me about low-propensity voters and how leftists target them. I responded that even these voters understand that voter ID is a critical issue. How can these leftists go about feeling proud of the fact that they are telling Black citizens that they are too stupid to acquire a picture ID? Talk about the soft bigotry of low expectations. This is an 80 percent+ issue among Blacks, who have no problem flying anywhere in the Country, with a picture ID. Of course, we know that this issue is tied to the Marxist left's wholehearted support for criminal illegal immigrants, one of whom just killed a beloved, Black, special education teacher in Georgia. The same state where a criminal illegal immigrant killed a young University of Georgia nursing student.
Here in Texas, I would love to see James Talarico or Jasmine Crockett go down to South Texas, along the border, and speak out against ICE and CBP officers, referring to them as Gestapo. Along the Texas border, Donald Trump won 13/15 counties over the issue of illegal immigration enforcement. The lawlessness of these Marxists, and the fact that much of the anti-ICE support has ties to entities outside of our Country is a poisonous pill that Americans do not wish to swallow.
And then there is the economic and energy security issue. Consider the oil refineries leaving California, along with many others. At a time when National gas prices for regular gas are dropping, prices are rising in California. That is because of their hatred of our natural fossil fuels. In Virginia, where the newly elected Governor will be giving the response to the State of the Union address, she is reinstating a carbon tax. And how about the Mayors of New York City and Seattle? In NYC, the mayor is threatening a property tax if he does not get his way with "taxing the rich.” In Seattle, the mayor, who just moved out of her parents' economic patronage, prefers to tax those who own vacant property instead of seeking out better economic incentives to keep businesses in that city. Seattle may have won the Super Bowl, but in voting for a Marxist leftist, they certainly won the Stupid Bowl.
Marxism, socialism, communism, or, as Zohran Mamdani calls it, "the warmth of collectivism,” which some 19 New Yorkers did not feel as they recently froze to death, is a poison that only suicidal people would drink. Here we are in America's 250th anniversary of independence, and we are actually considering a political ideology and philosophy rooted in dependency? It is beyond nonsensical to give any credence to the acolytes of Karl Marx, along with their simpatico comrades of Islamism, who follow the rantings of a madman who ordered the beheadings of people who chose not to follow his insanity, and still do to this day.
The case against Marxist leftism and Islamism is just too easy to make. America just needs courageous and resolute men and women to take up the mission. Sorry, I prefer not to associate with people who willfully and intentionally drink poison. Even more so, I will not allow those same people to force that poison upon my Country. Marxist leftists and Islamic jihadists remind me of the Borg from Star Trek: The Next Generation. They tell us that we must assimilate and that resistance is futile. To hell with that idea.
