I, like the vast majority of Americans, did not watch the Grammy Awards on Sunday. There was nothing appealing about any of it to me. Autotune and digital “instruments” are all for people with no talent to make “music.” It used to be that attractive female musicians would dress up and look good for the show, now its gross semi-trans weirdos trying to make up for a lack of talent with a lack of clothes. At 14:59 of their career, the desperation starts to seep in.
I don’t blame them, going from headlining to part of a flash-in-the-pan tour other has-beens who snorted their biggest royalty checks has got to suck. The phone only rings every couple of years looking to license one of your tracks for a movie or burger ad, so they’ll do anything to add just a couple of more seconds to that ticking clock.
Of course, that’s impossible. Talent is the only way to extend a career, and so few of them have any that once their novelty has worn off…it’s over.
That’s where politics comes into play. Parroting the approved left-wing line is the surest way, aside from playing your biggest hit, to get applause that shows like the Grammys. And there wasn’t anyone on the stage Sunday night who dared stray from the approved script.
People give credit to Jelly Roll – the fat, tattooed whatever singer or rapper (I don’t know) – for thanking Jesus, but he also threw in a line about how Jesus doesn’t belong to a political party, which I took as a nod to liberals.

Otherwise, the whole thing was a virtue signal from leftists condemning ICE and praising violent protesters. These people live in gated communities, behind walls inside them, and roll with security details – the average American will never get anywhere near them without paying hundreds or thousands for a ticket, and then only behind beefy security after having been wanded for metal.
Billie Eilish, who is about as confused about her sexuality as her wardrobe suggests (no one can be normal when they stop hearing the word “No” from anyone who can make it stick while still a teenager), took her moment on stage to declare “f*ck ICE” and “No person is illegal on stolen land.” High school was not a priority for someone famous since age 14, and no one is going to point out when she’s genuinely stupid because they’d be cut off.
But Eilish said, “I feel like we just need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting, our voices really do matter…” Who is this “we” she’s talking about? I can’t find any evidence she’s done a damn thing other than tell a crowd in almost complete agreement with her something they all were wearing lapel pins in support of. That’s like announcing the dessert buffet is open at an over-eaters anonymous meeting and thinking the applause was because it was you who announced it.
Billie, a doppelganger for Violet Beauregarde, has taken out a restraining order against a man who broke into her walled estate – proving that he was “illegal” on “stolen land” and borders are important when protecting her, just not the “little people” like Laken Riley.
These people think they’re heroes because they have people on the payroll telling them they are. You would be hard-pressed to find a tick overly critical of the dog it has attached itself to, just as you’d have difficulty finding a dog who understands the suffering of Americans who don’t have the security of literal security systems and people whose ability to support their families is dependent upon protecting it.
To say these people live in a bubble is to call Brian Stelter less than handsome and dimwitted – one of the greatest understatements of all time.
Eilish isn’t alone or special, she’s rather pedestrian in the leftist entertainment world. They risk less than nothing, live lives of rabid hypocrisy and fight to impose policies and decisions that will never impact their lives as their fame and money serves as a shield against reality. They may not be bad people, deliberately, but even accidents can destroy lives.
These millionaire mutants blew out their shoulders patting themselves on their own backs because their politics never impact them, it’s the peasants drowning in their wake who must face the consequences. The very people who make these people rich are suffering because of them. Think about that, and how much they hate you, the next time you consider buying any of their products.
