Border-line Obsessives – REUTERS

We need to unveil this new category, as the press has shown it is a constant source of misdirection attempts regarding border/immigration/ICE issues. They just have a need to recalibrate these stories by rote.

For the latest, we get a detention story set up as improper, as Reuters states an “Alabama Social Worker” was detained by border authorities.

It took Homeland Security officials to deliver the full story of a woman seen driving recklessly and being discovered as an illegal resident.

Border-line Obsessives – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • How are they able to get statistics that are so provably wrong?

At her latest press conference, Kristi Noem faced a question from a reporter who was pushing the narrative that most of those swept up in detention raids and others arrested are not criminals. This tracks with the prevailing narrative that simply being in the country illegally is not a crime and not warranted for deportation.

Noem corrected them calmly by laying out how over 70% of those detained have severe crime convictions or charges, and the bulk of those remaining have valid removal orders.

Scott Jennings can claim another pelt after his last panel appearance on CNN. He was discussing the nature of ICE agents coming under violence due to the narratives and labeling they endure from Democrats and various sectors of the press.

This was met with opposition from Anna Kasparian, from The Young Turks, who denied this was taking place, and then, in basically her very next breath, did exactly what she was claiming nobody was doing.

  • JENNINGS: "Democrats right now and people on the left are encouraging violence against people who want to serve in ICE." 

  • KASPARIAN: "You're just gonna make a declarative statement without a shred of evidence? How are Democrats encouraging?" 

  • JENNINGS: "Democrats every day are calling them the GESTAPO." 

  • KASPARIAN: "Well, they do act like Gestapo!" 

  • JENNINGS: "Now YOU'RE doing it.

Stealth Story Evolution – CBS NEWS

  • One of these decades, they are bound to be correct.

Freshly minted meteorologist Chris Martz points out a divine piece of climate revisionism from CBS News.

He notes that last year they reported that the Arctic was likely to be free of ice within 10 years. You might give them some small credit for recycling – he shows where the network had previously declared the Arctic would be seen without ice within a decade, some 16 years ago.

(In our desire to follow the science, the Arctic currently has plenty of frozen water.)

Both Kinds of Standards – POLITICO

In light of the mounting investigations and subpoenas that have been unfolding during the Trump presidency, the press has become very bothered by a reality; he is actually doing the kinds of things seen during the Biden years!

Prosecutors like Leticia James and Jack Smith are being investigated, and those involved in the Russian collusion debacle are being cited and addressed. How about that…those are the same people who tried using lawfare on Trump. But today, this is all unfair.
