It is interesting that Jefferson says that the “issue today” (in the 18th-19th centuries) “is the same as it has been throughout all history.” And it is the same today in the 21st century. Who ultimately will govern us? Will we have self-government, of, by, and for the people, or will there be government by an elite cadre of power-obsessed oligarchs for their own benefit, whose only concern for the people is that they obey? It’s almost amazing that in the earliest, freest (smallest government) period of American history, Thomas Jefferson was wise enough to perceive this crucial governing issue. But then again, maybe he knew history, something very few Americans understand today.
You and I gave a huge sigh of relief this last Tuesday when Donald Trump, the pro-America, pro-freedom candidate, won the Presidency. Respite for at least four years. But we will make a huge, humongous mistake if we think we’ve “won” anything but a short, four-year span of time. 70 million people—over 45% of those who voted—cast their ballot for the Marxist, totalitarian candidate of the elite, evil, effeminate, licentious Left. Many of those 45% did so in ignorance, and that is almost as bad as those who did so understanding what they were voting for. Stupid, wandering, clueless sheep are as big a threat to a country as the slavering wolves who prey upon them and want to eat them.
We won, but if we let down our guard for one minute, our victory will be short-lived and vain. This is what Jefferson warned us about in the statement above. It has always been so in history. And it is exactly why slavery and oppression are far more common in human history than freedom and self-government.
We are fighting the same battle in America today that has been fought all through history. Will Americans be allowed to govern themselves (choose their own rulers), or will they be governed by the Deep State, the elite, in Washington, D.C.? That Kamala Harris is a tool of that Deep State, a “useful idiot” as Joe Biden was, is all too clear to those with an eye on history and the proper role of government; the Deep Staters endorsed her. These people perceive Donald Trump as the greatest enemy to their lust for power, and so they did everything they could to stop him—including trying to kill him. The point here is, as Jefferson said, this is exactly what has been going on throughout all of history. The elite vs. the people. It’s what the American Revolution was all about. And it is a battle that will have to be fought, repeatedly till the end of time, by those who wish to remain free, because there will always be evil on this planet.
Sadly, in history, usually the elite win. But for America, moving on from 2024, the question is, can freedom hold on?
Patriotic, God-fearing Americans fell asleep for at least two generations, thinking, “This is America, God’s land, the land of the free and the home of the brave. It can’t, it won’t, happen here.” And then we woke up and realized, “It IS happening here!”, and we almost lost the country. And the battle is far from over. Folks, evil is relentless, it never stops coming, it WILL never stop coming, the war is endless. If we let down our guard for one moment, if we think we’ve won because we elected Donald Trump President, if we cease to be vigilant for even a split-second, if we open the door a crack, they will get in again. The Left, the Democrats, are vile, wicked people, full of hatred and bitterness, and they want to have power and control the nation. They will NEVER give up. Never!
We’ve seen the last 60 years or so what they will do when we sleep. Now, we can never afford to go to sleep again, indeed, we must fight back even more diligently, a monumental crusade against tyranny and slavery. We must learn from history. What happens if we sleep? The thief comes, the evil, totalitarian thugs slip in. We’ve listened to them now for decades. We know EXACTLY what they sound like, we know EXACTLY what they will say, we know EXACTLY what they will do. And they look and sound so good. Jesus called them “wolves in sheep’s clothing.” They LOOK LIKE harmless sheep. Paul tells us Satan and his ministers transform themselves into angels of light; they LOOK LIKE angels. And the gullible are fooled. We’ve been warned. Our Founding Fathers cautioned us repeatedly. We didn’t listen. We almost lost the country. And we still CAN lose the country if we don’t learn this lesson from history and remain ever vigilant.
The Left will never give up, folks. We must constantly watch for them with our powder dry. And if we let them in again, we’ll have nobody to blame but ourselves for not paying attention to our Founding Fathers and our own recent history.
Who is going to govern us? Are we going to live in righteous, virtuous freedom, governing ourselves, or are we going to turn the country over to evil, godless, totalitarian thugs who will oppress, enslave, and even kill us like Stalin, Hitler, and Mao did their people. Are we going to sleep again because we won this election?
Well, if we do, we may never be able to wake up again.
