Gilded Reframe – CNN

  • Sick to see how fluid the support of Gold Star families has become with Jake.

Oddly, we have seen Jake Tapper becoming far less of an avid supporter of the military. He was part of the battalion of press members slamming Donald Trump for his meeting with Gold Star families at Arlington back in September, despite those families lending full support to his appearance.

Now, Jake is at it again, granting Jeffrey Goldberg the chance to come on and not only defend his despicable hit piece of lies he delivered this week, but Tapper allows him to go and diminish the words of another Gold Star family while pushing the fraud of his piece. This is just disappointing and disturbing to see from Tapper.

Low-Octane Gaslighting – WASHINGTON POST

  • Who cares if it is a lie – RUN THE STORY!

Look, we understand that it is Jennifer Rubin. She has fallen to the level of easily being overlooked. But she manages to actually embody the tone of the press right now with her insistence that Goldberg's garbage reports should be "dominating" the news cycle.

It borders on insane that members of the press are willing to compromise their entire careers in this fashion – but as 2024 has shown us, there are more than ever expected.

Low-Octane Gaslighting – THE GUARDIAN

  • No time to look into the facts – THE ELECTION IS LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AWAY!

Immediately following Goldberg's dumpster fire exposé comes another completely neutered "October Surprise" attempt. The Guardian has a scathing (read: "Desperate") story of a former model who claims Jeffrey Epstein took her to Donald Trump where he groped her.

The problems with this are so evident that this paper – and any other news outlet repeating it – makes it clear they did not care about being accurate. Where to start…

  • The timing of the election is highly suspect.

  • This took place over 30 years ago and is only now being reported.

  • At the time, the woman was not underage but was 25.

  • The year this supposedly took place from Epstein's home was three years before he lived in New York.

Congratulations, Guardian, and others in the press – you just delivered a Christine Blasey-Ford-level hoax!

Presentation Paradox – CNN

  • You will be shocked to learn Brian Stelter was 100% incorrect.

On Tuesday, we noted how Brian Stelter claimed that on Day 3 it was only people and news outlets on the right still talking about Trump's McDonald's visit, and they were falsely claiming the press were obsessing over it.

Wellllll, we decided to look things over in the interim, and what do you suppose we found? Dozens of media reports still going on about it – so much so that they could actually be categorized under subjects, with multiple entries per facet.

Read through the whole thread to the end, where Brian becomes completely undone by the numerous entries from his own network.

Pre-Written Field Reports – MSNBC

  • Is it me, or are these black voters going off-script?

In a deliciously revealing segment, Alex Wagner sat down with black voters to discuss Kamala Harris and why they will not be voting for her. Wagner trots out so many default topics on why Harris needs to be supported – racism, sexism, etc. – and these voters tell her what she does not expect to hear: Those things do not factor in when Harris is completely underskilled and lacks the needed experience to govern a country. This is a staggering revelation to watch on MSNBC.

Reporting on the Mirror – LOS ANGELES TIMES

  • Get ready for the next internal newspaper meltdown.

The decision has been made by the Los Angeles Times that the paper will not officially endorse a candidate for the election. This has completely angered the employees union, and one editorial board member has resigned over the lack of a Kamala Harris endorsement.
