The Illegal Immigration Industrial Complex

While the catastrophic crush at the border continues at an unprecedented, unrelenting pace, the old strategy of never letting a good crisis go to waste is in full swing.

According to the National Border Patrol Union, the Biden administration released 100,000 people onto American streets since September 1. Since Biden took office in January 2021, millions have been bussed and flown to cities of their choice.

"You can do whatever you want," a Border Patrol agent told an illegal immigrant asking if he could travel to Chicago this week.

Non-profit "humanitarian" and non-governmental agencies are taking in billions of dollars in federal government grants to house, bus and fly illegal immigrants to any city of their choosing.

"For more than two years now, the Biden administration has been encouraging and mass-releasing millions of illegal aliens into the country. To accomplish its goal of unlimited illegal immigration, the administration relies heavily on NGOs to receive, process, transport, lodge, and counsel the illegal aliens," the Heritage Foundation reports. "The administration pays the NGOs billions of taxpayer dollars through numerous federal departments—including Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, State, and Justice—for this migration weaponization used against America's interests."

Not to mention, cartels trafficking individuals from their home countries to the U.S. are making $100 million per week. To say business is booming is an understatement.

"These NGOs and the Left hide behind faith-based organizations to keep their federal grants flowing and to distract from the horrific results in terms of human devastation, death, sex trafficking, forced child labor, national security and public safety threats, and more," they continue.

Once they arrive, local governments are forced to fork over billions of dollars in resources. Hotels in New York City have been bought out and turned into shelters. Long lines of single adult men from countries across the globe wait on the streets to get in.

Now at capacity, New York City is contacting companies, with taxpayer money, to build tents. They're buying thousands of cots for sleeping and pumping money into catering companies for food services.

"Upwards of 56,200 migrants are staying at the various city-run shelters…Meanwhile, the Big Apple is opening a large-scale emergency housing facility at the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in Queens as the city scrambles to find space for the influx of asylum seekers continuing to pour in," the New York Post reports. "The state offered up the space for the mega-shelter and will reimburse New York City for the costs to construct, maintain and staff the site, said Anne Williams-Isom, deputy mayor for health and human services, adding the city has already forked over $1.5 billion on the ongoing crisis."

As inflation continues to rage, making it extraordinarily difficult to make ends meet at home, American taxpayers are footing the bill for all of it – with no end in sight.

For Democrats in Washington, D.C., the benefits are political.

"It is beyond time for a path to citizenship for all undocumented people in our country," Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez demands on her website, arguing so-called "asylum" seekers shouldn't be deported but instead given work permits and citizenship. With citizenship, people can vote.

Democrats are banking on millions who receive "temporary" protective status – at the stroke of President Biden's pen – to reward the Left with insurmountable electoral power for endorsing lawlessness at the border. An end that justifies the current, chaotic means.

While the country suffers and pays a high price for Biden's open border policies, the illegal immigration industrial complex is getting rich.
