CNN Has Wildly Different Views on Who and When They Should Visit a Tragedy, Based on Party Affiliation

Both Kinds of Standards – CNN

  • It seems taking hours for a Republican visit is intolerable, as Biden camped on a beach.

This weekend, the press was consumed with a shooting that took place in Jacksonville, Florida, as race was a significant factor. Translation: They could not help themselves.

As the incident took place in Florida, Ron DeSantis will have his name dragged into the issue, and at CNN, Jim Acosta wasted no time in getting his political hits in on the governor. He convened a panel to discuss this shooting, and part of the discussion surrounded whether DeSantis was going to drop everything involving his presidential campaign and fly into Jacksonville. 

To understand, this was hours after the incident that took 3 innocent lives, and the criticisms were already flying. Yet when Joe Biden could not interrupt his vacation to address the Hawaii wildfire situation – a tragedy that involves the use of the term “death toll” – the press provided excuses for his lack of an appearance.

Now, about these aspects of the shooting...

Democratic Custodial Services – CNN

As if one hand is unaware of the fact the other one is petting Joe Biden, CNN delivered this explainer all about how the president had to recover with a week of vacationing in Lake Tahoe after a two week vacation on the beach. In between, he was bothered with Hawaii questions and offered dismissive “no comment” responses before he made an embarrassing visit to the island...13 days after the wildfires ravaged Maui.

But Ron DeSantis nearly took 13 hours to fly back to Jacksonville!!!

Low Octane Gas Lighting – CNN

  • Look, she was not expecting you to actually pay attention to what she says, after she asked you for a comment!

In that clip above from The Jim Acosta Story Hour, that was Isabel Rosales who was declaring that she “specifically” asked the DeSantis press team if he had any intention to “deviate” from his campaign efforts. The governor’s press secretary, Jeremy Redfern, could not abide the implication in her comment that DeSantis seemed unbothered, after she supposedly dug in to get a response and they basically evaded her query.

Redfern instead posted the text exchange where, after providing a video clip of the governor’s comments on the shooting, she did not "specifically" ask, but rather had as an aside, a more “oh, by the way” type of question about the as-yet scheduled return to Florida.

Artisanally-Crafted Narratives – MSNBC

  • This is mis-remembering on a Joe Biden-level of delusion.

In the MSNBC all-star panel covering the “historic” Trump indictment (his 4th historic event this year alone), Joy Reid stated she despised Trump and refused to watch his show as a teenager because he jailed the Central Park 5 teens who were supposedly her age. Except they were not, he did not, and she could not since the show was on more than a decade later, when she was approaching middle age.

  • “These police enforcing the law are violating our right to…violate the law!”

There was another stunted environmental protest where the activists closed down a roadway in the effort to...do...who the hell knows what they intend to accomplish. What is glorious here is that when law enforcement arrived, it was not to politely request they vacate. The cops blew through the makeshift display they had with a flatbed trailer and promptly cuffed-and-stuffed the peaceful protestors.

Freedom News sympathizers recorded what they said was "Nevada Rangers" pulling guns on the protestors – except their “journalists” got much of this episode wrong.

First, the officer was brandishing a taser. Next, there is no such thing as “Nevada Rangers.” What you saw was tribal police from the Pyramid Lake Paiute reservation.

These agitators were blocking a road with hundreds of people returning from the Burning Man Festival. So these environmentalists were inconveniencing their own people, and doing so on tribal land, violating the very native Americans they always claim to be supporting with their misguided efforts.

Stealth Story Evolution – MSNBC

  • We noticed your initial comment, Jen, so we are going to notice your revised statement as well.

Last week, we covered how former Biden mouthpiece and current MSNBC pundit (and still Biden mouthpiece) Jen Psaki told a bold lie that no Democrat was in favor of late-term abortions up to birth. She claimed this despite the mountain of evidence to the contrary, including her own words in support of the legislation calling for the procedure to be available.

After facing huge blowback on this topic, Psaki attempted to address the issue on her Sunday show, and the flailing on her part continues. She hopes to subtly alter what she meant, all while attempting to have her denial still fit in amongst all of the proof out there of Democrats supporting the very thing she denies Democrats support.
