CNN’s Mugshot Party Proves Jake Tapper Wrong, and MSNBC Sounds Racist About Trump’s Atlanta Visit

Pathological Media Amnesia – CNN

  • CNN and Jake Tapper forgot about his claims the network would be reserved about Trump’s arraignment.

Okay, this requires a proper setup. Last week on “The Ingraham Angle,” Laura came out to decry the rest of the news media for being giddy about the Trump arraignment, with the squawking heads getting excited about the imminent arrest, how he could possibly be detained in jail, that his court date coincides with Super Tuesday, and especially the prospect of getting their hands on images of Trump being booked in the Atlanta jail on his 4th indictment. She unspooled a long string of video clips displaying this effusive expectation on MSNBC and CNN. Well, Jake Tapper was displeased by this opinion. He responded to Ingraham in a brusque fashion.

Seriously, Mr. Tapper, you still bring up the defamation case, as if your own outlet does not bear an identical settlement scar?! But the real humor is his outrage that Laura had the temerity to suggest the network was “reveling” in the Trump news. He sounds professionally indignant that their character was impugned.

Then, yesterday, the Trump jailhouse photo was released, and the gang at CNN could not help themselves, as they were “wildly, characteristically” excited to spread the image far and wide, for all the world to see. This thread of examples can only be described as CNN reveling at the arrival of Trump’s booking photo.

Race to the Bottom – MSNBC

  • No, please – do go and tell us more how you feel about the city of Atlanta…

This is what it looks like when they cannot help themselves. Recently, on American Voices with Alicia Menendez, they had on Jill Wine-Banks and Jennifer Rubin to discuss the upcoming Trump arraignment. You can see where the excitement at the event eclipsed good sense, as the image of the former president freaking out was too good to avoid.

Just try to imagine for a moment what the reaction would likely be had someone on Fox News been so bold as to use the descriptions used by Ms. Wine-Banks for the city of Atlanta with a large black population.

Pulitzer Prize Nomination – THE WASHINGTON POST

As we like to say here on RFTH, we don’t mean to imply the press is hysterically obsessed with the Trump indictments – we prefer to simply show you.

Amy Gardner, along with further reporting/research from Jacqueline Alemany and Ben Brasch, was rooting around in the documents surrounding Trump’s latest booking and discovered discrepancies!

What results is roughly 900 words concerning the accuracy of the booking record in how it pertains to Donald Trump’s weight.

Stealth Story Evolution – NBC NEWS

  • Oh dammit, she caught you? Well, just fix it in post!

At the NBC News vertical NBC Out, the reliably hacky correspondent Matt Lavietes took a look at the recent shooting in Southern California where a shop owner was killed following a confrontation with a man who was upset with the gay pride flag in front of the business. The professional reporter sees this violent action and comes to the illogical conclusion: Matt Walsh and the Libs Of TikTok are guilty, as culpable for the murder because of things they said on social media.

To further debase this already stunted report, Lavietes said that they did not immediately respond to requests for comment, except Raichik kept the receipts and showed her answering the query within hours. The piece was altered to then show her comment, without noting the editorial change.

Both Kinds of Standards – AMERICA MAGAZINE

  • When not displaying enough Catholic faith is worse than openly violating the church outright.

In yet another impotent media hit on Ron DeSantis, America Magazine takes issue with the Catholic governor’s faith. Specifically, he is not displaying his faith well enough for the editors of this periodical.

But as far as his own religious beliefs go, Mr. DeSantis has offered few clues thus far, instead relying on broad intonations about the importance of faith to him and his family. It is unclear whether Mr. and Mrs. DeSantis are active in a particular faith community.

This apparently is problematic, but as far as Joe Biden or Nancy Pelosi blatantly disregarding church teachings opposing abortion, there is not seen anything of a critical position to be found.

Presentation Paradox – THE ATLANTIC

This would otherwise be considered a landmark day for The Atlantic, as they managed to come forward and actually admit that Hunter Biden has committed crimes. Yes, “welcome to the party pal,” and all that.

Yet even as they dared to report on this, the editors apparently were worried they might anger their headline-reading followers, and so the piece actually delivers “it now seems quite likely that Hunter Biden has violated one or more U.S. laws,” while the title soft-pedals things significantly.
