Radical Democrat Politics of 'The False Choice'

Every four years, politicians tell voters they face a choice. This year is no different, but the choice is more than just a choice between right and wrong (and there is a reason they say Republicans represent the right – we are). It is also rejecting the false choice liberals offer that everything must be either/or. They want you to believe America must choose between one thing or the other, but America is a country with boundless potential that is more than capable of doing more than one thing at a time. President Trump proves it daily.

If you listen to liberals, Democrats and the mainstream media on the China virus pandemic, America can either be safe and healthy or it can return to work and school. It is a false choice. America can and must do both. Democrats demand Americans submit to a draconian new normal that tramples on precious civil liberties or you and your family will get sick. That’s just not true. Meanwhile, President Trump is showing us that we can be open. We can be productive. We can get back to work and school. AND, we can protect ourselves and the most vulnerable at the same time. It is not an either/or choice.

Look at how Joe Biden has treated the police issue. Joe Biden and radical liberals want America to believe you either support minorities or you support police. Again, that is a false choice. Throughout the summer, Biden largely remained silent as major American cities burned at the hands of left-wing mobs. Why? Because if he condemned those groups causing chaos, his base would abandon him. On the contrary, President Trump showed the American people that we can condemn injustice and police brutality while remaining unwavering in our support for the men and women of law enforcement. President Trump acknowledges that there are bad police officers that need to be rooted out – but unlike Joe Biden, he realizes that nobody hates bad cops more than good cops. The overwhelming majority of police officers are heroes that make up the thin blue separating order from chaos and good from evil.

Liberals' false choice narrative is also clear when it comes to the economy. Democrats would like Americans to believe that a strong economy and a roaring stock market only benefit the rich and Wall Street. FALSE. Last week the government showed that in 2019, President Trump’s economy produced income rising faster for those at the bottom more than the top. It showed that paychecks grew faster for women and people of color than everyone else. America does not have to choose between a strong economy and closing the wage gap. Under President Trump, America did both!

The same is true when it comes to the environment. Democrats want you to believe that America can either have a strong economy or care for our environment. Again, President Trump is showing America that we can do both. While President Trump built a rocket ship economy that produced new jobs and higher paychecks, he also ensured Americans have the cleanest air and water in the world. The choice wasn’t either/or.  America can do more than one thing at a time. We can do both.

Don’t fall victim to radical liberals’ either/or politics. Nothing can limit our country’s ability to do more than one thing at a time. Where Joe Biden offers divisive false choices, President Trump creates strong solutions that move our country forward.

The choice in this election is real – but it is not the false choice of the Democrats. The 2020 election will be a choice between Right and Wrong, Republican and Democrat, Freedom and Socialism. It’s also a choice between an America with boundless hope, potential, and the ability to do more than one thing at a time and a party that views everything incorrectly as an either/or choice.  America doesn’t want Joe Biden’s “can’t do” leadership. It is not who we are as Americans. We must re-elect President Trump and continue paving a path toward progress.
