If Giuliani Runs, He Vows to 'Do It Right' This Time

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, whose trek to New Hampshire Thursday even as former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was there to announce his candidacy for the GOP nomination for president ramped up speculation that Giuliani himself is close to seeking the nod, promised to “do it the right way” this time, the Boston Globe reported.

Giuliani was considered a front-runner in 2008 but made little effort in the early caucus and primary states of Iowa and New Hampshire and focused instead on Florida, where his campaign died.

“The impression was we didn’t spend a lot of time here because we didn’t do it the right way,’’ Giuliani told the Globe of his previous New Hampshire experience. “We were spending so much time trying to raise money that we forgot about the politics.’’
