The Democrats Think Government Gives It To You-They Do, But Not Where You Want It

Democrats are complaining the right wing media is taking Obama’s “You didn’t build it” comments out of context.

John Kass strikes the perfect tone, and uses the entire context. The main stream media ought to report on what he has to say.

It’s the same story with so many other businesses in America, immigrants and native-born. The entrepreneurs risk everything, their homes, their children’s college funds, their hearts, all for a chance at the dream: independence, and a small business of their own.

Most often, they fail and fall to the ground without a government parachute. But some get up and start again.

When I was grown and gone from home, my parents finally managed to save a little money. After all those years of hard work and denying themselves things, they had enough to buy a place in Florida and a fishing boat in retirement. Dad died only a few years later. You wouldn’t call them rich. But Obama might.

Obama’s changed. Gone is that young knight drawing the sword from the stone, selling Hopium to the adoring media, preaching an end to the broken politics of the past. These days, he wears a new presidential persona: the multimillionaire with the Chicago clout, playing the class warrior, fighting for that second term.

Democrats are takers. They believe in the power of big government. However, all the data over the entire time humans have been governed have shown big government never works as well as free markets and capitalism to create wealth.

Every Obama action, and program has taken. Redistibutive, it simply takes a dollar from Peter and gives it to Paul. Of course, Paul becomes enslaved by those benefits. Economic incentives cause them to make decisions that don’t lift them out of poverty, but instead keep them there. Keynesian economics. Produces nothing except disappointment and paperwork.

Many decry the 1%. Ironically, under Obama their break with the mainstream has accelerated, not decelerated. They are further away from the middle class.

More small business owners need to tell their stories of how the local inspector, the over reaching state regulator, the oppressive and tyrannical government bureaucrat have meddled in their business and outright hurt or stolen their profits. Talk to anyone in the construction industry, energy industry, garbage industry and you will find out. If medical doctors didn’t feel over regulated already, they need to understand the tidal wave that’s coming to them.

Obama’s answer is more agencies. More bureaucracy and government which creates nothing. Protecting his cronies, unions and government-going aggressively after his enemy, any private business that won’t kneel to the government and kiss its ring.

Kass does an excellent job showing how government takes from both the rich, and the guys struggling to eke out a living in this country. Read his whole article. Joe the Plumber got it immediately back in 2008. Let’s hope everyone else gets it in November of 2012.
