Meanwhile, as we digest the Iowa Caucus chaos, a lot has happened outside of Iowa.
While the apocalyptic rulers of Iran finish the nuclear bomb they would use to commit a second holocaust on the Jews, President Obama was caught on a live microphone badmouthing Israel’s Prime Minister and bemoaning the fact that he has to deal with the leader of America’s last remaining ally in the Middle East.
A few days later, Iranians stormed the British Embassy in Tehran, commandeered a U.S. stealth drone, threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, conducted 10 days of military exercises, publicly tested missiles equipped with “the latest sophisticated anti-radar technologies,” and Iran “produced its first nuclear fuel rod using its own domestic capabilities [which] would represent progress in its program, as just last year there was significant doubt they had that ability.”
What did President Obama do? He asked pretty-please for the Iranians to give back our stealth drone. Iran’s president said “no,” and added; “Very soon, they’re going to learn more about the abilities and possibilities of our country.” Mr. Obama did, however, find time to praise himself in front of an audience of Jews in Maryland, saying; “I am proud to say that no U.S. administration has done more in support of Israel’s security than ours. None. Don’t let anybody else tell you otherwise. It is a fact.”
While Iran threatened to shut off access to one sixth of the world’s oil supply by closing the Strait of Hormuz, President Obama found time these past weeks to shut off a major oil supply from America’s #1 source of oil – Canada – by kiboshing the Keystone XL pipeline and forcing Canada to seek other markets for its ethical, friendly, non-genocidal oil.
Also this past month, the media and the White House were shaken awake from their dream of an “Arab Spring” by the cold reality of a Sharia/Islamist Winter – as Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Tunisia and even Turkey all took radical turns for the radical, becoming newly-intensified breeding grounds for Jew-hatred, woman-hatred and America-hatred.
In Russia, the Obama administration’s once-famous “reset” also went cold, with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin accusing America of “encouraging and funding Russians protesting” leading to “deep cracks in U.S.-Russian ties” and Russian “President Dmitry Medvedev threaten[ing] to deploy missiles to target the U.S. missile shield in Europe if Washington failed to assuage Moscow’s concerns.”
In China this past month President Hu Jintao openly urged the Chinese navy to “prepare for combat,” and to “make extended preparations for warfare.” Warfare against whom? A Georgetown study this past month revealed a vast “Underground Great Wall” in China: thousands of miles of underground tunnels designed to hide the fact that “China’s nuclear arsenal could be many times larger than the well-established estimates of arms-control experts.” The Chinese communists also conducted five days of sea trials with its new aircraft carrier. And just last week China launched trials of its new “Beidou satellite global positioning network” which will free the Chinese military and its weapon systems of their current dependence on American GPS satellites, and “allow a big jump in the precision attack capability of the PLA (People’s Liberation Army of communist China).”
And, when the psychopathic dictator of the craziest nuclear power on earth Kim Jong Il died, President Jimmy Carter extended his condolences and wished success for the dictator’s son, while Jimmy Carter’s philosophical heir Barack Obama issued a flaccid statement, saying “we remain committed to stability.”
Oh, and Europe is burning to the ground, and threatens to take the world’s economy down with it in 2012.
But all of these things happened outside of Iowa. Which means – to Ron Paul and his fervent supporters – none of these things should matter to you.
