In repeated articles on Townhall and my personal substack, I have clearly explained the philosophic and ideological foundations of modern Leftism. And I have shown, from history, where it comes from and why they believe what they do. I have given historical example after historical example after historical example of the monstrous crimes the Left has perpetrated in the last 200 years—and I’ve hardly even started. I have proven, from history, EXACTLY what Leftism (communism, socialism, etc.) is, how it has infiltrated and indeed controls the Democratic Party in America today, and warned of the dangers to Americans if that ideology ever gains totalitarian power in the United States, which is their goal. It is the aim of every Leftist government in existence, and I’ve shown why that is so.
Yet, I read, “Oh, the Democrats will never do that in America!” I’ve asked why they won’t but never get an answer. They are Leftists. They have murdered millions, wreaked economic havoc, thrown countless of their enemies in jail (the gulag), caused famines, destroyed untold lives...why can’t it happen in America? And the only response I ever get is...
“The Democrats won’t do that in America!”
I’ve got news for anybody who argues like that. They already are. And you and I know it.
But, folks, let me tell you something. As most of you know, I lived in China for ten years (2011-2022). I lived it. I saw it. It happened to ME. More than once. Personal experience within a Leftist, totalitarian system. Don’t you DARE try to tell ME what the Left will or will not do? I LIVED IT!
It’s true that the current Democratic Party is only the Chinese Communist Party in embryo. The CCP has total power in China, which is the dream of every Leftist Democrat in America. But the Democrats don’t have totalitarian power in America yet, so they cannot do everything that previous totalitarianists have done.
Just keep in mind Hitler couldn’t kill massive numbers of Jews until AFTER he came to power. Stalin couldn’t institute his Great Terror until AFTER he came to power. Mao couldn’t collectivize agriculture and create a great famine or have a “cultural revolution” until AFTER he came to power. Pol Pot couldn’t kill 25-30% of Cambodians until AFTER he came to power. But once they did gain totalitarian power, these Leftists DID do these things. That’s what history teaches us that Leftists/socialists do. So, please explain to me WHY Democrats/Leftists in America WON’T do these things if they ever gain totalitarian power in our country. What makes Leftists in America different from Leftists everywhere else in the world? Leftism is Leftism is Leftism—everywhere, in all places, at all times. Why are Leftists in America different?

Well, I confess, I don’t know the future, so I cannot absolutely say the Leftist/Democrats will do what Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Castro, Ho Chi Minh, Pol Pot, and every other totalitarian thug of the last 100 years has done. I don’t know that for sure. But pardon me if, based on what they HAVE done, I’m a little bit concerned about what they WILL do in America. I have no evidence except history. Those of you who say the Democrats won’t do what Stalin et al, did—what evidence do YOU have?
At the very least, I’m going to warn people what the Leftists have done all over the world for the last 100+ years.
The FBI has raided the homes of pro-life Americans. A man in Pennsylvania and a group in Wisconsin were arrested for reading Bible verses at “pride” rallies. Churches—but not Hollywood—were closed during the Covid lockdowns. Donald Trump is being indicted for, among other things, storing classified documents in an unauthorized location, something Joe Biden, who is not being indicted, also did. Trump has been vilified massively for his denial of the outcome of the 2020 election, and his political enemies are trying to keep him from running for President again next year. Hillary Clinton denied the outcome of the 2016 election and orchestrated a bogus Russian collusion hoax that cost American taxpayers thousands of dollars and multiple years of investigations and lies. Any repercussions against Hillary? Well, I think the FEC fined her $8,000. The Biden DOJ double standard is obvious and deliberate. They want to see how far they can go against their political enemies.
And then, of course, New Mexico governor Michelle Lujan Grisham temporarily banned the (legal) public carrying of firearms in Albuquerque. She had to back down from that, but this is a perfect illustration of the mindset of Leftism. She thought she could get away with it—or wanted to see if she could. It’s the kind of power the Left craves. It is the kind of power the Left exercises in countries with totalitarian control. And they are testing America now—slap the dog in the face. “Does this dog bite?”
We all know other examples of Democrats trying to implement unconstitutional power to learn what the country will tolerate to see how far they can currently stretch their power. But we still have a Constitutional Republic in America. Democrats cannot do in America what the CCP can do in China. But, having lived in China, I see the seeds of totalitarianism in America that I saw in China. A journey isn’t completed in one step. But we are witnessing a Leftist mindset in America, with examples of what they WANT to do. And pardon me if I believe they WILL do these things if they ever get the power to do so. And you Leftists must explain why they WON’T do them if they get that power when, again, they’ve done them everywhere else they have ever gained power.
Yes, they will and are giving us abundant evidence of it right now.
