President Trump said it best following the predictable verdict issued Thursday by a liberal Manhattan jury following a six-week trial led by a compromised judge and a prosecutor who campaigned on indicting the 45th President. “If they can do this to me, they can do this to anyone…I’m willing to do whatever I have to do to save our country and save our Constitution. I don’t mind. So we will continue the fight.”
To understand the slanted coverage by Big Media for the length of this first of four sham cases against President Trump, the Media Research Center has unveiled some interesting statistics. The three networks ABC, NBC and CBS ran a total of 110 stories on the trial, amounting to a total of 640 minutes, or more than ten hours of airtime.
Of those 110 stories, only three “hinted” that the prosecutor, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg “was a partisan Democrat.” The networks used the word “criminal” in referring to President Trump, or more than once per story. Ninety-six percent of the 640 minutes of coverage omitted the fact that the prosecution’s “star witness” Michael Cohen was a convicted perjurer.
Not a single of the networks’ 110 stories raised reports of conflicts of interest involving trial judge Juan Merchan, including his donation to Joe Biden, President Trump’s opponent in the 2024 election, and another contribution by the judge to the group “Stop Republicans.” None of the stories pointed out that the judge’s daughter is a top Democrat fundraiser.
After the verdict, Media Research Center’s Founder and President Brent Bozell told syndicated radio host Mark Levin that an NBC poll demonstrates that “among Americans whose primary source of news was ABC, CBS, or NBC, Biden leads Trump by 20 points, 55 to 35 percent.”
“I think it’s got to be the most dishonest media performance I’ve ever seen and by God, I’ve seen a lot, Bozell said. “Now, you understand why Biden enjoys a 55 to 35 percent lead over Donald Trump with that demographic. [The networks’ coverage] is feeding directly into them and this is a decision on a presidential campaign that could be decided by a couple of points.”

We all know the game here. Democrats know that this sham Manhattan verdict will be reversed on appeal 100%. Yet that was never their goal in their campaign of lawfare against President Trump.
Their goal is simple -- because Democrats and their globalist Regime Media allies are stuck with a weak and incompetent nominee that they can't get rid of in President Biden, they know that the only strategy to get him to stumble barely across the finish line in November is to label President Trump – who has a proven record and who's leading him by wide margins in battleground states – as a “convicted felon,” and then run tens of millions of dollars in campaign ads repeating that bogus conviction to voters.
And they needed a partisan D.A. a conflicted judge and a reflexively liberal jury pool to achieve that goal.
We’ve seen this movie before. Remember what the Regime Media did after Hunter Biden’s laptop containing detailed evidence of Joe Biden’s pay-to-play family $hakedown schemes with foreign governments emerged a month before the 2020 election? Big Media, with the help of Big Tech, insisted the laptop was “Russian disinformation” based on false claims in a letter from 51 former intelligence officers cooked up by the Biden campaign.
Just like with Thursday’s trial verdict, the goal in 2020 was to bury the laptop story just to get Biden to eke out a narrow “victory.” Then, two months after the election, the same media admitted the laptop was real and then just moved on to other stories with no shame and zero accountability.
The same goes here, where media and Democrats know full well that Trump’s conviction will be reversed in a heartbeat on appeal – only after the election takes place five months from now. This is not a trial. This is a BLT – a Bogus Lawfare Takedown attempt, plain and simple. And it’s destroying our country.
In examining why Democrats and their Regime Media fellow travelers have shamelessly resorted to this unprecedented Banana Republic tactic, the real question is, what has caused them to go off the rails in their hatred of Donald Trump? After all, this is the same media that toasted Trump as the host of a top-rated reality network TV series for 14 seasons.
The answer is power, plain and simple. As soon as Trump came down the escalator in Trump Tower in 2015 to declare his candidacy for President as a Republican, he immediately became the biggest threat to the power of Democrats and their elite Regime Media allies. Unlike just about every Republican president or candidate since Ronald Reagan, Trump knew how to fight back – and was eager to fight back against the Left for the American people.
Trump also has proved an existential threat to the Democrats’ coalition because he demonstrated the force of personality that enabled him to transform the GOP into a winning political movement.
In 2016, President Trump singlehandedly picked up a Republican party that four years earlier nominated Mitt Romney, and reoriented it from its losing, country-club, Wall Street identification to a populist, America First, patriotic political force that resonated with traditionally Democrat base voters whose own Party leaders had abandoned for close to two decades under the likes of Al Gore, John Kerry, and Barack Obama.
These previously Democrat Union and Rust Belt voters became disenchanted with their Party’s leftward drift, its embrace of Left Coast, Big Tech elites, its failure to address their real concerns on the economy, inflation, and illegal immigration, and one whose leaders derided them behind closed doors to wealthy donors as “deplorable,” and “semi-fascists” who “cling bitterly to their guns and religion.”
That’s why Democrats and the Regime Media hate Trump so much, and that hatred – personified in Robert De Niro’s rant this week in front of the Manhattan courthouse – is precisely why they decided this year to throw 250 years of respect for political boundaries out the window to wage Bogus Lawfare Takedowns that threaten our democracy and are turning us rapidly into a Banana Republic.
Trump said it best leaving the courthouse following the verdict: “This was a rigged, disgraceful trial. The real verdict is going to be on November 5, by the people. And they know what happened here, and everybody knows what happened here.”
This week’s spectacle will indeed resonate at the ballot box five months from now with fair-minded voters of both parties, and even a halfway fair-minded media would refuse to allow Team Biden to label the former president as a “convicted felon” before then when everyone in the country knows that conflicted conviction will be thrown out swiftly on appeal following the election.
