On Sunday, Joe Biden announced that he was not seeking reelection. While Biden has caused tremendous damage to the country, the current vice president, Kamala Harris, stands ready to assume the nomination should Democrats “allow” her to do so. While Biden’s exit from the presidential race was necessary, Americans must understand what Harris brings to the table. In essence, Harris is akin to Biden 2.0 or, in many cases, worse.
By now, there is little doubt that Biden and the Democrats systematically destroyed the nation. Biden weaponized the justice system against his political opponents, destroyed the nation’s border so that millions of people from various countries have entered America illegally, destroyed the economy, destroyed America’s energy sector and relied on other countries to provide America energy, hurt various groups of people by allowing illegals to take jobs that could have been taken by American citizens, threatened to ignore the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization and restore Roe v. Wade, threatened to curtail the Second Amendment, increased taxes, appointed liberal/progressive judges who have circumvented the Constitution and/or the rule of law, appeased America’s adversaries thereby leading to new wars overseas, and destroyed America’s image around the world.
Biden’s record and his terrible policies decimated the nation, and his departure is well-received and overdue. His successor, however, is no different and is, on many occasions, worse.
Kamala Harris, who spends much of her time giggling when seen on camera, supports policies that are as, if not more extreme, than Biden. For example, on more than one occasion, Harris has called for a ban on assault weapons.
On the issue of abortion, Harris has taken an even more extreme view than Biden. For example, when she was a presidential candidate in 2019, Harris argued that any states that had a history of restricting the abortion rights protected by Roe v. Wade would require federal approval before implementing new abortion laws.

Harris is also in favor of banning fracking and is a major proponent of the Green New Deal. As a matter of fact, when she was a presidential candidate, Harris proposed a $10 trillion climate plan, which exceeded the estimated $1.6 trillion that Biden planned to spend on climate, energy, infrastructure, and technology.
Like Biden, Harris supports student debt forgiveness. As a matter of fact, Harris apparently played a major role in Biden’s ultimate decision to cancel/wipe out student debt. The idea to forgive student debt was also favored by various progressives even though it is not equitable or fair to those who have already paid off their loans or did not go to college and the other major problems (legal and otherwise) associated with wiping out such debt. Incidentally, Harris also favors the idea of making college tuition free to many students. As a matter of fact, she has historically supported proposals by far-left Democrats on this issue. For example, one such proposal sought to eliminate tuition and fees for various students attending two-year colleges or four-year public institutions. Another sought to “cover any college expenses above a student's expected family contribution and would have given priority to Pell grant recipients.”
Harris is also weak on the border and will continue or worsen Biden’s border disaster. Like Biden, Harris supported the decision to roll back the various Trump-era border policies despite their effectiveness in reducing illegal border crossings. However, Harris also seems to align with a more progressive approach when it comes to immigration and has expressed her intention to expand the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) and provide additional protections to illegal immigrants by executive order.
While millions of people enter the nation illegally, Harris, like her predecessor, is more concerned with protecting them than she is in protecting American citizens by shutting down the border, deporting those who are in the country illegally, and mandating that those who want to enter the country and to become American citizens do so legally.
Under a Harris administration, corporate tax rates could reach as high as 35 percent, American-Israeli relations could take a different and less cordial tone, America’s approach on trade would likely exclude Trump-like tariffs which Harris has criticized. Finally, on the issue of voting, Harris previously supported two of the Democrats’ major voting rights bills, including H.R.1 (the “For the People Act”) and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. Both bills attempted to federalize the election process and to take away the powers from the individual states. At the time, in an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Harris warned Americans that if Congress didn’t pass the Democrats’ various voting bills, the United States would be “kicked down off its pedestal.” Unsurprisingly, all but five Democrats also recently opposed proposed legislation known as the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would have further bolstered the current law by permitting only U.S. citizens to vote in federal elections.
Kamala Harris is not the solution to Biden’s terrible policies. To the contrary, her policies are even more extreme on certain issues. America cannot afford a Harris presidency, which is akin to a Biden presidency on steroids.
America needs President Donald J. Trump. Nobody else can save America in its current state.
