Watching President Trump’s address before a Joint Session of Congress there were two things that became very apparent. The first thing is that President Trump was at the top of his game and reveling in the moment. The second thing that I noticed is that Democrats are utterly devoid of a heart and soul.
While Democrats try to preach that they are the party of the common man, they have abandoned the common man some time ago. They no longer represent – if they really ever did – the hard working, patriotic Americans who made this country the greatest country in the history of the planet. The blue collar Americans who had traditionally voted Democrat didn’t walk away from the party, the party walked away from them. No, to be more accurate, the Democrat Party ran away from hard working Americans.
One could hardly not notice how the Democrats sat on their hands during the president’s speech, or held up their little paddles while President Trump honored thirteen year old cancer survivor D.J. Daniel. Young D.J.’s goal in life was to become a police officer, so the new Director of the Secret Service stepped forward and appointed D.J. an honorary Secret Service Agent. The moment was magical, and the Democrats sat there like pond scum floating on the water of a small, fetid swamp.
When the television cameras panned the room during the president’s speech it was as though a sound-proof partition had been erected right down the middle aisle separating the boisterous and cheering Republicans from the stoic and scornful Democrats who held up paddles with slogans printed on them that no one even read. Knowing the Democrats, more likely than not the paddles were probably paid for by the American taxpayer. Well I think it’s a pretty fair statement to say that President Trump royally spanked the Democrats with their own silly little paddles.
Ever the master showman, President Trump picked the exact right moments during his speech to introduce his invited guests and tell their stories - which for any reasonable and rational person tugged at the heartstrings - yet the Democrats didn’t flinch. They didn’t move a muscle to show support for the mother of twelve-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray who was brutally raped and murdered by an illegal alien.
Nor did they express any emotion when President Trump talked about Republicans passing and Trump signing into law the Laken Riley Act. Legislation intended to protect Americans like the University of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley who also was brutally raped and murdered by another illegal alien running free in America because of Joe Biden and the Democrats’ open border policies. A bill by the way that one hundred fifty six Democrats in the House voted against, and thirty-five Democrat senators also voted against. Which should tell you where the Democrat Party’s loyalties lay.
They followed the orders they received from Nancy Pelosi and the other party leadership to the letter. “Stand fast, shown no emotion or support for anything that President Trump says”. President Trump was correct in pointing out that he could announce a cure for cancer and the Democrats would not applaud. All Americans need to know about the Democrat Party. It cares only about political power, not a farthing about the American people.
Today’s Democrat Party has shown itself to be the party of the radical special interest groups who have been intent on “fundamentally transforming” the party, and our country for at least the last sixteen years. The present-day Marxists in the Democrat Party have asserted themselves and fully control the party narrative.
Watching Democrats march in lockstep is reminiscent of watching the old Soviet and other totalitarian regime propaganda films of military parades marching down a central boulevard in Moscow, Beijing, or Pyongyang. Staring straight ahead as they marched along, showing no emotion, following orders and staying in line so as not to anger the party leadership.
Hopefully the rest of America received the message loud and clear that was sent by the Democrats as they sat stoically in our nation’s capital building for the president’s speech. The message they sent is that they have no heart or soul.
They will always choose party over Americans and will not stand up for the achievements of Americans like young D.J. Daniels, or recognize the suffering of the families of Americans like Laken Riley or Jocelyn Nungaray.
The message they clearly sent is that they would rather see our country suffer and fail, more than they want to see President Trump succeed.
