Ever since President Donald J. Trump turned Elon Musk and his crew of investigators from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) loose to ferret out wasteful government spending, Democrats have been running around with their hair on fire. Their heads ready to explode in righteous indignation at the temerity of Elon Musk and President Trump for trying to do anything to account for and protect the American taxpayers’ money.
It really causes one to wonder just what Democrats are so upset about? After all, one would think that the Democrats would be just as interested in saving taxpayers money as the Republicans seem to be, and they would leap at the chance to join the good governance bandwagon that President Trump is driving now that he’s back in the White House. One would be wrong to think that.
Democrats are not interested at all in saving the American taxpayer’s a single dime. In fact the opposite is true. Democrats are fighting tooth and nail to try to prevent Elon Musk and President Trump from finding, and worse yet revealing the waste and corruption that is endemic in our government bureaucracies.
Take USAID for instance. USAID is a semi-government entity that has been nothing short of a money laundering operation for the Democrat Party for years. Democrats have enriched themselves at the expense of the American taxpayer whose tax dollars have gone to support the far left, ultra-liberal programs that USAID is responsible for implementing around the world. The overwhelming vast majority of these programs, which at the very least are ideologically aligned with the Democrat Party, take in millions and millions of dollars each year. U.S. taxpayer dollars to be more specific.
I think it’s probably pretty safe to say that USAID is going to turn out to be just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the waste and abuse of American taxpayer’s money that is being uncovered. With the Education Department and the Department of Defense also in the crosshairs of Elon Musk and DOGE, those two government agencies are expected to come under close scrutiny very soon.
It’s likely that untold millions of dollars will be determined to either be missing, or having outright been stolen by people connected to the Education Department. Considering the test scores of American children it’s pretty obvious that money hasn’t been well-spent on educating our kids. Of course teacher’s union leader Randi Weingarten will be leading the charge to prevent DOGE from taking a closer look at how the Education Department’s money has been spent.
As for the Department of Defense, my guess is that the famous two thousand dollar hammers will probably be the least of our concern once DOGE has a chance to start digging into all the money and expenditures of that huge government bureaucracy.
With all of the roadblocks and screeching that the Democrats are doing it really makes one begin to wonder just what it is they are trying to hide. Is it merely that they have not been very good stewards of the taxpayers money, or is there something much more nefarious going on?
Take Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters for instance. She has a net worth of at least ten million dollars. That’s a pretty sizeable bank account on a Congressperson’s salary. At least that’s how much we know about anyway. We also know that she paid her daughter roughly $750,000 to stuff envelopes. A trained monkey can do that for free, but Maxine Waters felt that $750,000 was a fair amount to pay her daughter for doing what a trained monkey can do? I can guarantee you that $750,000 didn’t come out of Maxine Waters own pocketbook, the American taxpayer most certainly ultimately picked up the tab for that.
Yet ole Maxine is one of the Democrats screaming the loudest to prevent DOGE from uncovering more waste, mismanagement, theft and corruption. She was one of the leaders of the Democrats outside the doors of the Department of Education the other day trying to bully a security employee when DOGE was inside doing its’ work.
It seems to me that what is happening is that Democrats are in a panic and running scared. Scared of being found out that they have been using various government agencies as their own private slush fund for decades. Funneling money through the agencies to launder it, and then eventually right into their own pockets. What they are objecting to is that the taxpayer-funded gravy train is coming to an end, and they are soon to be found out.
So yes Democrats have something to be afraid of. There very well may end up being indictments as a result of what Elon Musk and DOGE uncovers. Democrats are afraid that instead of continuing to pad their bank accounts with taxpayer money, and objecting to an “unelected billionaire” looking into records Democrats would rather not be seen, in the not too distant future they may instead find their stolen assets seized by the Department of Justice, and themselves end up doing a ‘perp walk’ on national television.
