Dr. Pinar Çebi Wilber
Biography
PINAR ÇEBI WILBER, Ph.D. is Executive Vice President and Chief Economist with the American Council for Capital Formation. She is also an adjunct professor in the Department of Economics at Georgetown University.
Her research expertise is diversified and includes energy policy, tax policy, international trade and finance, and general government policy. Pinar has researched issues related to the United States-Mexico-Canada-Agreement and President Trump’s tariff polices, retirement savings policy regulations, climate change legislation and the impact on the U.S. economy. Pinar has also published various reports on different tax provisions and their impact on industry and the overall economy.
Prior to joining the ACCF, she was a visiting Assistant Professor at Washington and Lee University and an instructor in the Department of Economics at Georgetown University. She received her Ph.D. in economics from Georgetown University and a BA from Bilkent University, Turkey.
Pinar’s is a regular contributor to The Hill newspaper and her articles have also appeared in the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Marketwatch, Investor's Business Daily, multiple regional newspapers and many trade publications.
