If you offered me a billion dollars to name you a Postmaster General not named Benjamin Franklin or Louis DeJoy, I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t do it because who knows or cares who the Postmaster General is? I know Ben Franklin because who doesn’t? I know Louis DeJoy because, for some really weird reason, Democrats fundraise off his name.
Why anyone would donate to “fight” some random bureaucrat most people couldn’t name for all the money in the world is a mystery, as is why anyone would care who the Postmaster General is or how it can impact anyone’s life. But we don’t live in rational times, we live in stupid times.
President Donald Trump appointed DeJoy, and from that moment, and because of that association, DeJoy became Hitler Jr. In just 2021, I have received 174 fundraising emails from left-wing groups where DeJoy features prominently. Why?
The Democrat obsession with DeJoy started with the 2020 election and mail-in ballots. Democrats went all-in on everyone in states they controlled being mailed their ballot at a time when the postal service was already overwhelmed thanks to COVID. DeJoy warned about possible delays and other issues, which caused the left to freak out and target him.
Ever since, it’s been game on.

The Democratic Governors Association sent an email this week with the subject line, “Watch Katie Porter EVISCERATE Postmaster Louis DeJoy.” You probably don’t know who Porter is because why would you? So who cares what she did or didn’t do to a bureaucrat? Someone must.
Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen warned of “Important changes at the USPS!” What were they? Some other guy you’ve never heard of was removed from the postal governing board. “Add your name here to join me in thanking President Biden for standing up for the postal service,” Van Hollen wrote. “And then the new Board needs to vote to remove Louis DeJoy!”
If the guy is a monster, Biden can just fire him.
The 314 Action Fund, another left-wing activist group, emailed, “This past week we polled our supporters about whether or not Trump’s Postmaster General Louis DeJoy should be fired. A WHOPPING 98% of you were in agreement: Louis DeJoy must be fired and Joe Biden should name a new Postmaster General immediately.”
Honestly, who has this kind of time on their hands? Who can burn calories hating the Postmaster General?
The group Stop Republicans insisted just a week ago, “Only ONE USPS Board Member is blocking Biden from FIRING Louis DeJoy. With enough public pressure, President Biden will have to FIRE Ron Bloom and Louis DeJoy.” Now that the board members, presumably, has been removed, what’s stopping Joe Biden from firing DeJoy? Nothing, because he could have fired him already.
It’s pretty clear Democrats want control of the post office for reasons unrelated to anything they’re pretending to give a damn about. As they transition as much of the country as possible to mail in voting, having the person overseeing the entire process in your hip pocket would be a good thing.
The National Democratic Training Committee spells it all out. “Trump’s Postmaster General Louis DeJoy: GUTTED the Post Office infrastructure months ahead of the election,” they claim, “DELAYED mail-in ballots from reaching mailboxes, REFUSED to locate hundreds of thousands of missing mail-in ballots It’s clear as day: Postmaster General Louis Dejoy meddled in the election to sabotage Democrats and re-elect Trump.”
Have you ever noticed how Democrats are always doing what they accuse Republicans of doing?
That’s the only explanation as to why Democrats care who the Postmaster General is, and why they want him fired. Somewhere out there is a Postmaster General-in-waiting sitting by the phone hoping for a call, ready to make sure whatever number of changes Democrats want are implemented to get ballots wherever they want them. Or, more accurately, wherever Democrats need them.
The Postmaster General is a job that has never impacted your life before now, but if Democrats get their way, it will become a job that will impact your life in a great many ways, I fear. You probably don’t know who Louis DeJoy is, and it’s doubtful you cared. But you should, because Democrats do and it’s very likely for a good reason.
