Gilded Reframe – NBC NEWS

  • When the reporter is the last to figure it out.

NBC’s Intelligence Correspondent Ken Dilanian came out with a jarring report indicating upheaval in the Trump administration.

Now, if you are saying to yourself something like, “Wait, I thought Kash Patel was heading the FBI?” then congratulations, you have put in more thought than an NBC reporter. Most people were aware of the fact that Patel had been serving as an interim in the leadership role, and it seems that with a new person chosen, Patel was stepping aside.

About 30 minutes after his breaking news, Ken came out with a sheepish update on the matter.

Theory Over Activity – CNN

  • Impending court cases seem more crucial than those concluded.

We will never be lacking for the subjective way Brian Stelter approaches his version of news coverage. Take this example of reporting on defamation suits in the press. The man who was critical of Fox News for never formally addressing the case brought by Dominion Voting Systems was himself silent this past January as his network was found liable of defamation with malice by a jury.

Now, in similar fashion, his bifurcated interest returns. In his “Reliable Sources” newsletter, he eagerly reported how Newsmax was about to face its own suit with Dominion, yet on the very same day, the news came out that NBC News settled its own suit that was about to go to trial in less than two weeks – and Brian had zero interest in detailing this development.

Reporting on the Mirror – ASSOCIATED PRESS

  • This year for the AP is best described as “beleaguered.”

Speaking on the subject of recurrent defamation suits, Zachary Young – the Navy veteran who successfully sued CNN this year – has brought an identical suit now against the Associated Press, for repeating the false allegations made by CNN.

Both Kinds of Standards – ABC NEWS

  • Sure sounds like a Democrat Party attack talking point, according to recent standards.

Let us harken back to the days when mentioning Joe Biden’s mental infirmities was chalked up to be a stutter, and anyone alleging he was too doddering in nature was committing an act of ageism. The issue, we really do not need to rehash, was not Biden’s age but his abilities. After all, there are even older members in Congress, such as Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Grassley, and few have an issue with their ages.

But as Donald Trump is primed for his annual physical, ABC News is suddenly expressing concerns over the fact that Trump is advanced in years. My, how the standards shift in rather rapid fashion.

Glossary Over Things – KTLA CHANNEL 5

  • Would you describe that as “unnatural causes” maybe?

Los Angeles station KTLA reported on a convenience store robbery where the shopkeeper expired on the scene. The setup by the station almost makes it sound as if he suffered a natural consequence in the course of the crime being committed.

When it comes to being beaten and then run over by the criminals, most normal people would describe this as a murder.
