Pounce of Prevention – THE NEW YORK TIMES

  • Noticing the infraction is worse, we presume.

As the scandal of Kamala Harris plagiarizing portions of her 2010 book is evolving, The New York Times is here to explain – it is not scandalous at all. See, this guy Christopher Rufo exposed it, and it doesn't like him. Plus, it found a sympathetic plagiarism expert and gave him a handful of select examples from the more than a dozen found, and he declared it all "no big whoop."

So there you have it, the paper that instantly fired Jayson Blair over plagiarism has declared Kamala innocent…even though she did it.

News Avoidance Syndrome – CNN

  • Brian Stelter should read this guy from CNN, named Brian Stelter...

In an amusing dose of delusion, CNN media guru/hack Brian Stelter offered up a lesson to the press on how to cover the election in the coming weeks. In it, he suggests being bold, holding both candidates accountable, and not flinching from reporting even painful content. He delivers sound advice.

Brian just does not follow that sound advice. While lecturing on being bold and reporting tough issues, you will not find mention in his feed or newsletter of the plagiarism scandal involving Harris, or the press coverage.

Low-Octane Gaslighting – CBS NEWS

  • Well now, HE just lost his invite to the Sunday shows!

Things just continue to spiral downward at CBS News. Amid all the other negatives swirling around its news division over the past week, Speaker Mike Johnson delivers another body blow. After he appeared on "Face the Nation" with Margaret Brennan, he noticed that – much like the now-infamous "60 Minutes" Kamala Harris interview – his responses were severely truncated ("edited for time," of course).

To show how he might have been somewhat misrepresented, he decided to post the full unedited clips, so we could hear the content the network decided was not worthy to be aired.

Pathological Media Amnesia -- CBS NEWS

  • We have it on good authority that this is hateful and intolerant. That would be you – you are the authority.

And the CBS News issues just continue...

For this entry, we need to harken back to that bygone era of – this year. We say this not to you, our urbane readers, but for the benefit of the stunted minds at CBS News. For the first six months of 2024, we were told repeatedly that asking about the health of the president was a partisan attack, questioning his age and functionality was ageism, and demanding that he release results of health checks and competency exams was the work of intolerant hacks.

But now that Biden is out of the election race, and no longer a health concern (apart from being capable of operating as the nation's leader), it seems that requiring health information of a candidate over age concerns is a perfectly acceptable position for the press to take these days.

DNC PR Firm – THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE

  • Funny, I was told I should not listen to the man. What gives?!

Reuters has the "scoop" that Kamala Harris is tentatively looking to do a sit-down interview with Joe Rogan. We do not want to imply that this is a sign of desperation – we are declaring firmly, THIS IS A SIGN OF DESPERATION.

How does Harris, who struggles to sound coherent even on a teleprompter but flies off when speaking extemporaneously like a bottle rocket with no stick, expect to last for over an hour in an open discussion? Beyond that, her time will not be edited to clean up any messes. This has all the makings of a disaster.

More than this however, what are we to make of the fact that she is entertaining going on the show with the man described as dangerously toxic, who has been accused of endangering the health of others over pandemic positions, and who was the target of a cancel campaign because the left views him as an inherent threat to mankind?

Legalized Press-titution – FINANCIAL TIMES

  • Have…have you forgotten what the name of your out is, folks?!

The Financial Times has a piece out about Kamala Harris. It would be refreshing to see a concerted effort to summarize the past four years of fiscal performance, a projection of the results of her stated economic policies or even a critical analysis of her specific agenda items like homebuyer subsidies or price-fixing in the food marketplace.

It "would be," but it seems the gang at FT has the standard of – If you don't have anything nice to say about the Democrat candidate, report on something besides financial matters.
