The Daily Beast published an article over the weekend crying over a happy birthday message posted by right-wing podcast host Katie Miller.

The Daily Beast called the message from Miller to her husband a “cringey note” and labeled her as her “husband’s number one fan,” as if it is shameful to love one’s spouse.

The article then lengthily complained about the massive success of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller’s tenure combating the American immigration crisis, as well as his wife’s support of his work.

“Katie has been a proud supporter of her husband’s frequently inflammatory rhetoric, using her social media to chime in on political matters and stoke division just as he does,” the article read.

The outlet has been mired in controversy in the last year. Legal action threatened by First Lady Melania Trump resulted in editors retracting a story and portions of a podcast that attempted to tie her to Jeffrey Epstein and issuing a public apology.

Stephen Miller continues to be a central figure in advancing the Trump administration’s immigration agenda and recently announced a policy to slash visa issuances by up to 50 percent.
