Several years ago, President Trump called some Third World nations "s**tholes," and the Left lost its mind. One of those nations was Haiti, a country so plagued by unrest and violence that airlines once suspended flights into Port-au-Prince because gangs were firing shots at landing aircraft.
Various celebrities, including Bill Maher and Conan O'Brien, shot back that Haiti was always great. They even made t-shirts with the slogan. So now that President Trump has ended temporary protected status (TPS) for the Haitians, the Left has decided they actually agreed with President Trump's previous remarks about Haiti.
One of those is Geraldo Rivera.
Expelling Haitian immigrants is sending them straight to hell.

Too late.
Also, remember that Geraldo demanded President Trump apologize for the "s**thole" remark.
When Trump previously called Haiti and other 3rd world countries "s**tholes," you wanted him to apologize for it.

Now here you are saying that Haiti is shíthole country that you call "hell."
What changed Geraldo? pic.twitter.com/y1MQEXz9ji
The Left will say anything, even to the point of contradicting themselves, to advance their agenda.

Less than a decade ago, Haiti was a "beautiful country."
Wait wait wait…

Did you just admit that we brought hundreds of thousands of people from “hell” to America?
But Geraldo will assure us we only brought the good people and not the ones who made Haiti hell in the first place.
That's weird. I seem to recall you guys attacking Trump when he labeled Haiti a s**thole. https://t.co/WD2tVw67T1

So weird.
Didn’t the entire media and Democrats in DC swear that Haiti was amazing and wonderful and perfect when Trump called it a hellhole? Trump then said okay, then sounds like they can go back and now the framing switches to, "it’s hell on earth, you can’t send them back!" Ridiculous. https://t.co/Wge4Q2g6o5

They can never, ever admit that President Trump was right about something.
That Haiti is a mess is not our problem; the Dominican Republic shares the same island and has more diverse racial demographics, yet the Dominican Republic is more prosperous and peaceful. This is a problem with Haiti, caused by Haitians. Either way, it doesn't matter that President Trump was right about Haiti. What matters is the "T" in TPS means temporary, and after years of Haitian migrants abusing that status, they're going back home to where they belong.
