President Trump called senior White House counselor Kellyanne Conway’s husband a “total loser” on Twitter Tuesday morning.

The message was a response to his campaign manager Brad Parscale’s tweet suggesting the root of George Conway’s criticism of the president is jealousy.

“We all know that @realDonaldTrump turned down Mr. Kellyanne Conway for a job he desperately wanted,” he said. “He barely worked @TheJusticeDept and was either fired/quit, didn’t want the scrutiny? Now he hurts his wife because he is jealous of her success. POTUS doesn’t even know him!”

Agreeing, Trump retweeted the message along with, “A total loser!”

Mr. Conway has been claiming that Trump’s mental health is deteriorating, tweeting screenshots from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders for the definitions of narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder.

Early Tuesday he responded to Trump’s jab, writing: “Congratulations! You just guaranteed that millions of more people are going to learn about narcissistic personality disorder and malignant narcissism! Great job!”

Kellyanne told reporters Monday that she does not share her husband's concerns about the president's mental health.
