Sister of Slain Benghazi Victim Recalls How Hillary ‘Perpetuated’ Lies After Attack

Hillary Clinton’s performance at Thursday’s Benghazi Select Committee hearing may have convinced the media of her innocence, but the relatives of the diplomats killed on September 11, 2012 are still waiting for some answers.

Kate Quigley, the sister of CIA Contractor Glen Doherty, one of four Americans killed at the compound in Benghazi, Libya, told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that Clinton knowingly misled her and her family about the source of the attack, claiming it was the result of an offensive YouTube video.

"She spoke to my family about how sad we should feel for the Libyan people because they are uneducated, and that breeds fear, which breeds violence and leads to protest.”

“It was very strange,” she said. "When I think back now to that day and what she knew, you know, it shows me a lot about her character that she would choose, in that moment, to basically perpetuate what she knew was untrue."

In 2012, Clinton and her staff repeatedly told Americans that the raid was due to a video, even though emails revealed at Thursday’s hearing proved she knew it was a terror attack.

Quigley isn’t the only relative demanding more accountability from the former Secretary of State. Michael Ingmire’s nephew Sean Smith was also murdered in Benghazi. When this frustrated family member went on “Hannity” to share his thoughts about Clinton’s performance, he was a little more blunt.

“Hillary Clinton is a serial liar,” he said. “Hillary Clinton really has a difficult time maintaining a consistent level of truth and that was proven today and it’s been proven before.”

He added that her incompetency should prevent her from running for any other higher office.
